It's a very frigid, moody, Manitoba Monday morning, but we remain thankful for a warm home and a cozy bed.
Snuggled in with a good book, on these freezing cold nights in this frozen land..... I watch the flames dance around and create a warm atmosphere ;-)

After my Monday lunch with my friend, stopped at one of the little parks in town to enjoy the crisp air and fun colors. Also, this is my first shot of me in my new winter coat! I feel a bit like a snowman in it because it's so puffy, but the cozy warmness totally makes it ok :)
Finally finished! All the knitting was done weeks ago, but I couldn't muster up the energy to attach the buttons. I used the original shape of the 28thirty pattern, but I added significantly to the length, changed the cuffs, collar, and button bands all to seed stitch, and used a smaller-gauged yarn (Beaverslide Worsted, in Cottontail). As an added bonus, I finally used up one of my oldest stashed yarns.
I'm SO happy with how this sweater turned out--it's fitted but not tight, and it's totally soft and drapey post blocking. Yay!
