Unfortunately, such appeals are unlikely to persuade the belligerent Russian fascists to end the criminal war against Ukraine.

Unlike the Trojan War, the current war in Ukraine is heroic only on one side. God damn the diabolical insane Putin and his moronic supporters and bring the Russian soldiers and the Russian people to their senses! Russians! Overthrow the criminal clique that rules you and send them to hell!

Russians, stand up against this criminal, inhuman war, stand up against this monster, this felon who is your president and who started this war and is responsible for it! Or do you want to remain the lepers of this world for the rest of your lives?

Россияне, встаньте против этой преступной, бесчеловечной войны, встаньте против этого монстра, этого преступника, который является вашим президентом и который начал эту войну и несет за нее ответственность! Или вы хотите остаться прокаженными в этом мире до конца своих дней?

The MES workers are looking for people in the ruins of a destroyed house the next day after a heavy bombing by the russian airplane. I live 500 meters away from this place and heard the plane, the explosion after that my house literally jumped. The locals that arrived there said that at least 2 people could be there, but the MES worker could find them and were told to move to another place that also was bombed that night.

Kharkiv, Ukraine. March 3, 2022.

This fire was caused by heavy shelling from russian "Grad" missiles. I arrived there a few minutes after the shells hit. A lot of injured people were there, some of them had to jump from 3rd, 4th or 5th floors, others were catching them with their bare hands without any special equipment, as there was no time to wait for the firemen. And this is just one episode out of hundreds of others that happened that day.

Last Wednesday evening, at least 3,500 people demonstrated in Barcelona's Plaça de Catalunya against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The fountains in the square were lit with the colors of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity.

From the exhibition "The Disasters of War. Goya and the Present" in the Albertina

"Since the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine in February of this year, the photographer Mykhaylo Palinchak (*1985) has been documenting his homeland’s destruction and the attendant impacts on those who live there. His pictures of apartment complex ruins, the dead and survivors, people on the run, and those who have remained provide an impactful impression of this war’s immediate consequences.

The ALBERTINA Museum is showing 40 recent war photographs by Palinchak, whose work has dealt repeatedly with incisive political developments in Ukraine, in juxtaposition with Goya’s Los Desastres de la Guerra. Just like Palinchak's photography, Goya’s early 19th-century depictions of war from the collection of the ALBERTINA document the universal brutality of wartime events and the suffering of the civilian populace.

The exhibition is on view from 24 May until 21 August 2022."

This is burned russian military truck in Kharkiv city center. Several small groups of russian troops managed to broke into the city on 27th February. This one went to the city center and was destroyed by Ukrainian defenders 200 m away from Kharkiv city council. The photo was taken 5 days after those events, when this burned truck was used as an obstacle near a checkpoint in the downtown.
