This hard working employee of Cardahl's Insulation company in Idaho Falls was finishing the insulation installation in a home I am over seeing the construction of for my widowed Mother In Law. This was one dirty job. I strongly admire the work ethic of this fellow who is willing to do this day after day. I am considering starting a photo essay of this project from its beginning in Late May. Just a few photos at a time. If anyone would be interested in this let me know. I do not want to bore anyone with the photos. This is the project which has consumed most of my spare time this year.

insulationtoledo.com We filmed this while one of our insulation installing was installing blown-in cellulose insulation into a home in the Toledo Ohio area. The music seemed fitting, we had some fun with it and hope you enjoy it also!
One thing that may especially interest you, if you'll notice, he's installing the insulation into a wall cavity that has no supporting walls! The loose-fill cellulose insulation is being blown into a type of sheathing material that acts like an envelope, which holds the insulation in place.

-H-Shield (flat): 65 panels of 3", 35 panels at 1"
-Tapered H-Shield: 40 panels, 35 Y panels
-Vertical H-Shield Foil Cavity Wall: 45 sheets for outside exterior sheathing
Application:
Slope of the roof is established using toothpicks made from ripped down 2" x 8" members. The roof insulation panels are fitted between the members. 1" is put underneath the tapered product to get the needed depth.
The use of Hunter XCI polyiso insulation products help bring the condensation point to outside the stud walls to prevent any moisture from getting trapped in the thick mass of blown-in cellulose in stud walls. XCI also helped add insulation to the stud walls to ensure that the building meets the stringent Passive House qualifications.

May 22nd marked the day one year ago that the deadliest twister since 1947 largely destroyed the former St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin and leveled much of the town.
The new factory built Mercy hospital is 30% stronger than requirements for the old hospital. And the facility is the largest acute care hospital ever built with modular construction.
Insulfoam was used to help roof combat strength, water absorption, stability, stable R-value and excellent performance. Photos show 15" thick tapered Insulfoam product being loaded onto the roof.
