I remember loving this moment of light through the mist just as the sun rose over Exmoor but wasn't sure what my main focus was going to be so I ended up doing a rather odd thing at the time, for me that is, by ignoring the view finder and simply using the LCD on the back of the camera. The odd part is that I can't see a thing without my glasses!
I find looking at light with blurred eyes can sometimes help to compose a better image rather than seeing the sharp details corner to corner. Yes, I do wonder myself how my mind works!
This is a previously submitted image and yet another one where I gasped at the amount of saturation and contrast I had applied at the time! I think it goes to show that regardless of how good the capture is, you're only halfway round the track until you have found a way to process an image. In some cases we can end up going backwards past the starting blocks if we're not careful!
Thank you for finding your way here :)

He's just a small one but they are still fun to catch. My 12 year old really enjoyed catching his first walleye!

It was a Walleye day! Almost every fish being pulled out of the water was a Walleye...Best seen large. After getting this to the computer, I noticed the eye of the fish peeping out of the claws..

I've seen the movie last weekend with my family. Even I cherished no great expectations at first THIS character hit's it: Best sidekick in Disney movies for a long time... :) So I liked to make him out of the bricks... And yesss, he's stable, no tricks at all... ;) Enjoy!
Thanks to our friends Denny & Lana, we had an excellent fish (walleye) dinner recently! Denny is an expert Lake Erie fisherman.

10 lb. walleye. I caught this big walleye on 8 lb test line. My buddy took a quick pic and released it nice and healthly.
I cut out and glued the fish print to clean white paper. Too many smudges around the fish with the original background. I am new at this.
This egg custard (our dessert for the walleye supper) is one of Ron's specialties. Everything was delicious.
This is a small bay on Big Elbow lake in Minnesota. To the left are a ton of cool yellow water lillies. To the right the early morning sun is burning through the fog. Directly below is a very sneaky walleye.

Pan-fried walleye, tossed salad and buttered sweet corn. The delicious fish was supplied by our dear friends, Lana & Denny. Denny caught the walleye and he and Lana brought it to us on a recent visit. Ron prepared the dinner. We had a chocolate brownie and coffee ice cream for dessert.
