TED: "Look, I got me Welsh flag cuz this is a Welsh pussel! Well akchully it's not Welsh, it's a map of Wales.
I 'ad to do the middul first cuz the border wuz too difficut cuz of all the white, but once I'd dun the pussel itself it wuzzn't too bad an' I got it dun evenchully.
It's a nold pikchur of Wales so a lot of places is spelled diffrunt an' there ain't no roads - I don't no 'ow peepul got anywhere in them days!"

A reproduction map of Wales by the renowned cartographer John Speed (1551/2-1629), published by Grovely Puzzles.
Our second Grovely, and we encountered the same problems with assembly as on the first; lots of false fits, a loose cut and nightmare edge pieces.
Eventually we assembled the side images before tackling the map itself. Lastly we made up the border without too much difficulty.
I swore I'd never do another Grovely map but I have to confess this was more enjoyable!
Playing with time lapse sequence. Made up from still images. I plan to have ago at these again as I learnt a lot doing this short sequence.
This is either a holiday souvenir or a patriotic Welsh badge (Civic Week)? ‘Cymru am Byth’ translates as ‘Wales Forever’ and depicts three ladies in traditional Welsh costume.

Finish: Gilt.
Material: Brass.
Fixer: Pin.
Size: 1” across x 7/8” down (about 25mm x 22mm).
Process: Die stamped.
Makers: No maker’s name or mark.
