Finally finished my Noro scarf (well, it needs blocking still but hey, the crochet part is done)
It's Tunisian Crochet, gobelin stitch.
Okay, there is no script here, we are in the kitchen learning how to use the Cuisinart Double Belgian waffle maker. We did figure it out, my wife does things that are weird, she read instructions.

just a single sock knit in Yarn Nerd 1200 MHz Merino, in the Math Nerd colorway. this yarn is a bit more rugged than the average merino, but it softens up nicely after a bath.
Baby blanket that I crocheted for my son's friend and his wife's first baby that was born on Tuesday morning.
One of my current knitting projects is a washcloth using a stitch pattern sometimes known as waffle stitch.
It's being knitted in cotton yarn, which is great for showing stitch definition so ideal for working with textured stitch patterns.
This is the front side of the work, from which it is intended to be viewed.
Here's the back side of waffle stitch. It's quite an interesting texture but not as striking as the front side.

This cap reminds me of a piece of architecture. It was done with the waffle stitch, which is one of the most 3 dimensional stitches in crochet. Secretly, I call it my Tower of Pisa hat.
Each of the 3 tiers and the brim is accented with gold crochet, a dressy touch. Now is the time to wear it. It will give you warmth against the chilly morning should you have occasion to hang out into the wee hours.

My own personal pattern. Fingerless gloves knit up in waffle stitch. Two handmade fabric buttons attached to each glove. These will be up in my Etsy shop starting tomorrow.
