went out to Cape Kiwanda with Lexi today but the weather wasnt so great so we decided to go grab some dorylands pizza and just relax on the beach!!
This is a B&W version of my earlier shot for the scavenger hunt. I think this converted really well to B&W after some tweaking in the RAW file converter.
It is part of a gate from a large house round the corner. Every time we walk past I think I must take a picture of this...!

This is my desktop. It's an amazing old theater that is now an old warehouse in South Philadelphia.
The Grand was originally the Synder Avenue Baptist Church. As the neighborhood changed before WWI it became a hall and eventually was converted into a moviehouse in 1911. Silent films were joined by vaudeville. Another renovation, by architect W.H. Lee, took place in the 1930s. The Grand had 850 seats and one screen, and was able to charge more than other local theaters because it had air conditioning. A retail store took over by the 1960's. Recent tenants removed the white aluminum siding that had covered the structure for decades to reveal most original painted signage still intact.
While waiting to meet up with my "clients" (shooting their engagement photos at Snoqualmie), I grabbed some photos of the fog and the falls...
