Otis wanted to take Fleur on a surprise camping trip. He had a momentary lapse of memory and forgot he was in Canada, in the biggest snowstorm of the year. She was not pleased. Of course, they got stuck in their camper, and especially with pulling that little trailer behind. She climbed up as high as she could get, while Otis tried to get the satellite working. Not sure how this ended - I had to go back inside to get warm :)
Zoom in to look at the details. I noticed that Otis and Fleur kind of blend in with the background.
Today's photo is honouring the Beatles since today is Global Beatles Day - "a day honoring and celebrating the phenomenon and ideals of the Beatles, collectively and individually, for their gifts to the world including, but not limited to, their promotion of peace and love, of truth and youth, and of the expansion of human consciousness." It is a day to reflect on how the Beatles impacted the world globally in terms of culture and music. The day was founded in 2009 by Faith Cohen. It takes place on June 25th, because that marks the day that the first live satellite production was broadcasted globally. It was a British program titled Our World, and it ended with the Beatles' performance of "All You Need Is Love". Artists from nineteen countries were included in the program, and it is estimated that at least 400 million people watched it, which was the largest television audience up until that time."
I am today years old to finally notice that Paul McCartney was not wearing any shoes for the photo of this album cover. 😂
While I take a photo of this VW Bus.

Saw this 1965 VW van at the Geneva Concours. Presented with more of a family look than the hippy van we usually think of. I thought I'd pack a spare and introduce the new VW minivan. A combination of two photos.

1960's - 70's? Volkswagen Bus/Van
The Volkswagen Type 2, known officially (depending on body type) as the Transporter, Kombi or Microbus, or, informally, as the Bus (US) or Camper (UK), Pão de Forma (Loaf of Bread) (Portugal) is a forward control light commercial vehicle introduced in 1950 by the German automaker Volkswagen as its second car model. Following – and initially deriving from – Volkswagen's first model, the Type 1 (Beetle), it was given the factory designation Type 2. WIKIPEDIA

A remake of an older series, made in 2015 at the V8 Brothers Show (www.v8brothers.be/), a yearly car show in Gits (Belgium).
An exercise in seeing details and using shallow DOF
Revisited after some feedback on weekly (www.flickr.com/groups/weekly/ - a great group by the way) on long series of trees ... time to exercise some other subjects and this remake might be a good starting point

Macro Mondays: Motion blur (Image was cropped to 3" in width).
This theme was definitely a challenging one for me. I used my miniature VW bus and moved it back and forth to obtain the motion blur. The words on the bus say love and peace; words we could all certainly live by. ❤️✌️ I hope everyone is having a great day!
Thanks very much for your visit. HMM!
It was love at first sight when we were biking in the state park and spotted this beauty. It’s in wonderful shape and that color is perfection! I’ve been smitten with VW vans since I was a teenager and love to see them taken care of.

I once helped a friend drive his version of this van into the Atlantic Ocean off of Key West from a boat, so that it could sink and become part of a reef for fish...
I’m just having a tea break, but I will be back shortly to catch up with all of you. :)
