Der Vulkan El Tatio befindet sich in Chile in der Región de Antofagasta und ist Teil der Anden östlich der Atacama-Wüste. Der Krater liegt in ca. 4280 Meter ü. NN.
In Karlsruhe schneit es nicht oft, aber wenn genügend Schnee zum Schlitten fahren liegt, bleibt er auf Mount Klotz nicht lange liegen. Denn hier kommen so ca. alle Kinder der Stadt zum rodeln hin, weil es fast die einzige Erhebung der Stadt ist, auf der dies möglich ist. Und durch die Kufen wird der Schnee wieder abgetragen. Sieht dann aus, wie als wäre es ein Vulkan.
The Vulkan company in Rorschach was founded in 1920. In 1925 it was entered to the commercial registry and it still exists today. After more than a hundred years. In 1965 the company distributed this pocket slide rule as a complimentary gift. It still works fine. Manufactured by Nestler Darmstadt, Germany. No. 0121. Nestler went bankrupt in the early 1990s.
