The Honda Civic Type R is the high performance version of the Civic developed and produced by Honda since September 1997. The first Civic Type R was the third model to receive Honda's Type R badge (after the NSX and Integra). Type R versions of the Civic typically feature a lightened and stiffened body, specially tuned engine, and upgraded brakes and chassis, and are offered only in five- or six-speed manual transmission. Like every other Type R models, red is used in the Honda badge background to give it a special sporting distinction and to separate it from other models.
The fourth generation (FK2) Type R debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motorshow and was produced at Hondas Swindon plant. It is the first factory turbocharged Civic Type R. The FK2 Civic Type R is powered by the K20C1 Direct Fuel Injection 1,996 cc turbocharged straight four with Earth Dreams Technology, having a power output of 310 PS (306bhp) The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with a factory equipped plate-style limited-slip differential. The engine is manufactured at Honda's Anna Engine Plant in Ohio before being exported to the UK.

The final VTEC service of the evening, 1N35 2200 London Kings Cross to Newcastle is seen paused at York having arrived early due to the generous timings offered for the train to run via the Askern Branch and Ferrybridge.
With the Leeds Driver who works the train from London replaced by a Newcastle man, the train is ready to depart with 43311 leading and 43320 on the rear.
In a month's time an additional 2300 London - York service will start operating, the ECS then returning to Doncaster in the early hours for an additional early morning service from Doncaster and Retford.

Having planned to capture the memorial 91's that VTEC operate under the roof of York tomorrow evening given what part of the year it was, but with the poppy livered 91, no 91111, been out of traffic due to a B exam. The next best thing was to capture sister loco 91110 which wears the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight livery. However having been informed that 110 would be coming out of service the following morning due to exam aswell the opportunity had to be taken a day early and capture it wherever it would be situated during that day. In this instance a shot at the capital was found before the loco's departure with 1D28 to Leeds.
