On a rare occasion you get a clear day around these high points of the mountain. They are usually covered in clouds. This is the border line between Macedonia and Kosovo. The view from the peak Kobilica to the Black peak, or Crn vrv. A beautiful hiking path starts from the village Vejce, then follows the steep slopes of Kobilica and through this ridge is connected with this beautiful dark rocky structure that is full of caves.
A high mountain in the southwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. It is situated between the Ohrid-Struga Valley and the Debar Valley, to the west of the River Black Drin (Valley and the shore-line of Lake Ohrid. The eastern side of the mountain belongs to the Republic of Macedonia, while the western side belongs to the Republic of Albania. It stretches in a meridian direction with a length of 35 km, and its greatest width in our country is 7.5 km. The part of the mountain on Macedonian territory covers an area of 255 km2. Jablanica is a fold mountain formed by the Oligo-Miocene tectonic movements. Its geological structure is represented by Paleozoic shale on the mountain slopes, covered by Triassic limestone. The topography of Jablanica is dominated by high mountain peaks, wide expanses, deep river gorges, and by karts and glacial landforms. Its highest peak is
Crn Kamen (2.257 m.), and it has several other peaks higher than 2.000 m, such as: Strizak (2.233 m), Krstec (2.186 m), and Cumin Vrv (2.125 m). The fossil glacial features are represented by five cirques that enclose the four glacial lakes: Podgorci, Upper and Lower Labunishta. The mountain abounds in water. The most famous sheepfolds are the ones in Labinishki Bacila, which are a tourism attraction in their own right.
Shar Planina, the winter path to the highest peak of the mountain Titov vrv (2747 m.a.s.l.) through Bakardan peak (2700 m.a.s.l). The slopes are still covered in snow. (explore)
The central region of Macedonia is dominated by three mountains (Dautica, Jakupica and Karadzica) that are joined in one big mountain range. From Patishka reka you can reach the most western slopes of Karadzica that provide beautiful views towards lake Kozjak and the protected natural park Jasen. This is the view from the rocky peak Mirska Voda (2280 m.a.s.l.) towards the ridge of Milenkov kamen and the peaks that follow behind: Ostri vrv, Ubava and way in the back is Solunska Glava (2540 m.a.s.l.) the highest point in the range.
