Stena Europe on a week long secondment on the Dublin-Holyhead route covering for the Stena Horizon which was away off the route itself covering for annual overhauls.
The Europe is now a veteran tub, built in 1981, usually resident on the Rosslare-Fishguard route, operate twice daily sailings between Ireland & England.
A nice treat to see her in Dublin.
It's all Greek to me, but here is the classy looking Blue Star 1, currently on long term charter to Irish Ferries for their Rosslare-Pembroke route since the incumbant Isle of Inishmore was despatched to operate on Dover-Calais.
Seen here on approach to Rosslare harbour on the afternoon run from Pembroke.
Front row seat, with the premier view, all thats missing is the popcorn & fizzy drink.
All aboard the Irish Ferries "Dublin Swift " catamaran sailing between Dublin & Holyhead.
Departing after it their cruise ferry the "Ulysses ", it quickly overtakes her in the bay, arriving & departing over in Holyhead before Ulysses arrives. They don't call it the "Dublin Swift " for nothing.
Its the journey, not the destination.
