November 6, 2018 - This morning before work, I went to my Polling Place at St. Luke's Baptist Church to Vote in the Midterm Elections! Here is a tripod selfie of me after I voted! I challenge all who can vote, to go out and vote today!

As you can see, we were still in front of the Edward Roybal Building, which is where the Federal Prison is located. This is also where ICE processes prisoners to be taken to other locations in the U.S., or to send to El Salvador.

She stood out in her costume and was happy to pose for me.

All votes on FM.net will only count. | Why I am doing this again:

After another last few weeks without much luck in the official photomode contest I am forced to let the community pick one shot.

Which once chosen will be joining two other shots already picked by me.

Janice voted in the Pennsylvania primary election. So did I.

I voted in the advance polls in this, the third week of the Ontario provincial election, with actual voting day February 27. The election was called January 28 after Premier Doug Ford called upon the Lieutenant Governor Edith Dumont to dissolve the legislature.

This is a completely unnecessary election called by a Progressive Conservative Premier in order to win, as he says, a mandate to help combat the threat of US proposed tariffs on Canada. He already has a majority government and an election wasn't due until June 2026.

The last time an Ontario Premier with a majority government called an early election (Liberal leader David Peterson) he was turfed in 1990. We can only hope this happens this time around and Doug Ford is shown to the kerb.

As always, I voted NDP (New Democratic Party) Canada's only mainstream left of centre party. In Ontario, the NDP is the Official Opposition and led by Marit Stiles.

The main issues in this election are affordable housing, the consumer price index, improving healthcare and education, homelessness and addiction and protecting our federally designated Green Belt (an environmentally sensitive area that is home to a large part of the crops grown in Ontario) which the Conservatives want to hand over to their rich developer friends. It's the same tired old story- Conservatives cater to the obscenely rich and the corporations, as opposed to helping the people who elect them. The best way to describe the political divide is that the NDP, Liberals and Greens primarily care about people whilst the Conservatives care about "stuff".

New mural by Bayne Gardner, downtown Springfield Oregon. Since Lisa is a vegetarian, it is ironic the mural is behind a meat market.

A few weeks ago, I sent my ballot for the US November election to the US Embassy in Tokyo. They promised to send it to the US where the USPS would then delivery it to the proper location. Today, I received email that said the county that I'm registered to vote received my ballot and confirmed it was valid (but it won't be counted until election day). I also got this "sticker"...

I haven't been as excited to vote since I was first able to vote!

Today is the day, use it! Do it! We need this!

It's the only poll that counts.

What do you see, buddy?

Voting today in Australia for the Federal election. Melbourne .My local voting booth. I arrived early and the queue moved quickly, so I stayed after, had a sausage at the sausage sizzle and sketched the people

We just got back from the polls, and only had to wait about 20 minutes before casting our votes. It doesn't sound like much, but we usually don't have to wait to vote in our rural town. This is the first time I've ever gotten a sticker. :)

There were two Democratic poll watchers there, and no Republicans, which I found interesting. At 5:00 today, I'll head back to town hall to pick up a list of voters who haven't made it to the polls yet. I'll give them a call and remind them that there are only a few hours left to vote. I have a feeling that I won't have very many people to call.

Sorry if this looks familiar. I’m too lazy to shoot a new one, so this is a retread from 2018.
