So tonight I sat down to go through the HPAD2011 awards submissions. By God that was an epic task! The quality of photos was beyond amazing. Every single photo, in every category, deserves a mention of some kind. In the end I had to go with gut instinct and make quick decisions - thinking too much is counterproductive!
But I've chosen, I've voted and now it's time to wait. Good luck everyone, I'm sorry I couldn't choose you all.
In other news today, we took N for his first visit to the dentist. We'd practiced big open mouths, and saying 'raaarrrrr' with him yesterday, and all this morning he was chanting 'dentist', 'house'. I think he thought it was like Justin's House.... He was very good and so was the dentist, and she managed to count all his teeth, and even got him to come back for a second look! I'm so proud.
I voted today in early voting! If you haven't voted yet, today is the last day of early voting, and then the official election day is Tuesday! Don't wait until the last minute to try influencing who runs our government!
I cropped this picture on photoshop. IWhen i first saw this picture i thought that during a time when politics has been very controversial as we approach the presidential nomination, and every vote counts. I thought that this photo not only represents Times Square as the theater district that we can go see shows like "Avenue Q" in but with its big capital letters, it also tells us the importance of voting for someone.
So maybe the polling booth is never wide enough but it disappoints me that the left-wing parties are crammed into the far right (sic) column. So 7 parties get their own column:
A - Republicans
B - Democrats
C - Independence
D - Conservative
E - Working Families
F - Green
G - Libertarian
....and the last column has to accommodate 3 parties:
H - Rent Is Too High
I - Socialist Workers
J - Socialist Equality

What does this have to do with you?
We need you to vote and help us reach a minimum of 250 votes. We are currently at 108 votes which was gained over a period of 24 hours. If we can keep the momentum going we can easily reach 250 in 48 hours. This can only get done with your help and with you spreading the news. After you vote tell everyone you know to vote as well and have them tell everyone they know. If we can get 5 people to vote and then they get 5 people each to vote and then they get 5 people each to vote we will have our goal! But it starts with that first vote... YOU!
SO WHAT DO YOU GET?
IF WE GET THE 250 VOTES IN ON TIME
We will host a webstore wide sale of 25% off for 25 hours. Thats right! EVERYTHING in store will go on sale for 25 hours.
Thats not enough? Well if we get the grant each person who voted will get the figure above....FREE. Just for supporting and passing the word.
Let us know if you voted or that you got someone else to vote. The figure will be an exclusive fully printed scifi figure that will only be released through this grant offer!
