An otherworldly scene on the coast of California - like something straight from a movie.

Got started on these two right after finishing Cap & Iron Man MK 85 over the fall, but life threw some new shakeups my way so I just now finished them a couple weeks ago lol. I'm excited to be back on track regularly working on figures again though. First customs of the new decade!

Nat & Clint here were fairly straightforward, but various things like the alternate Ronin gear, all of the other additional accessories, etc added a lot of time to the process for both.

The custom face I painted for Hawkeye to match Jeremy Renner's likeness is probably my favorite thing here (design inspired by Life Brick). Also, I did way more work on the bow to make it as accurate as I could and I'm super proud of it.

Loved these two all throughout the first 10 years. Natasha & Clint were the brother/sister dynamic of this crazy ride through The Infinity Saga. Both Scarlett Johansson & Jeremy Renner have been amazing in these roles over the years since Iron Man 2. Really glad Widow is finally going to have her own solo movie this summer and I really do hope the Hawkeye series works out as well so they can both exit the MCU the right way.

You can see all of it in even more detail on the YouTube channel as always! Showcase is up now :)

Hey everyone! I went to go see Avengers: Infinity War last weekend! Since the movie has been hyped by a lot fans, I’m going to to a in-depth review to inform you with my opinion of the film. To make my review easier to follow, I have divided it into 3 sections. Enjoy! ATTENTION: IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE MOVIE, DON’T READ SECTION #3!!!! Enjoy!

#1: Characters

You gotta admit, there are ALOT of characters in Infinity War. There is the near-complete group of Avengers( Looking at you, Hawkeye), the Guardians, Wakandan people, and not to mention Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Bucky. Because of all these characters, it seems like not everyone got the same amount of dialogue. The people with the most lines and screen time were definitely Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Thanos. Even Captain America only said about 10 things! Most of his scenes were in the big, epic battles. Those scenes were the best in the movie, but were sometimes ruined by a few too many jokes. Not saying I hate superhero comedy, but humor was in nearly every 2 minutes, so Marvel could’ve cut back on the puns a bit. Overall, the characters are good. Everybody gets a moment to shine, but some of them feel like side characters.

#2: Plot

The plot is one of the most important parts of a movie. It’s what brings the whole movie together, to tell the audience the story. Infinity War has a well-thought out, but messy plot. Summarizing the entire movie, Thanos sends the Black Order on an attack on Earth to find the Infinity Stones. The heroes do everything they can to stop him from finding all the stones. Seems like a good plot, doesn’t it? Well, since all the heroes are split up between different states and planets, the transition from one to another is a little choppy. Aaand the ending that that ruins most of the movie, which I’ll talk about next. Overall, a great plan for a plot. Unfortunately, it was not executed in the best way.

#3: Deaths and spoilers

ATTENTION!!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE, I RECOMMEND YOU NOT READ THIS SECTION!!!

So... half of humanity died or ‘dusted’. In the beginning, Heimdall gets stabbed by the Black Order. Then, in that same scene, Thanos chokes Loki, and of course he dies. Onto the more important deaths, Gamora and Vision *Sniff*. When Gamora is forced to lead Thanos to the Soul Stone on Vormir after he threatens to kill Nebula, Gamora proves a valid point. The only way to get the Soul Stone is to kill another soul you love. Since Thanos doesn’t love anyone, there’s no way he can get the stone. Well, then he cries because he cares about Gamora (Unfortunately). Then, kapow he throws her off of a cliff and gets the stone. With Vision’s death, it’s a shorter story. Shuri tries removing the stone from his forehead without killing Vision. She doesn’t get it all the way out due to an attack though. And when Wanda has to use her powers to break the MInd Stone, and Vision along with it. Until Thanos uses the Time Stone to bring back Vision, take the stone, and kill Vision. The final ‘deaths’: half of humanity. Thanos said that once he got all of the Infinity Stones, only half of humanity would still exist. You name them, Spidey, Wanda, Falcon, a ton of people drift off into ash. That’s when the movie ends! On a HUGE cliffhanger! Not cool, Marvel Studios! I’m still 99.9% sure that everyone will come back, so that’s why I call the ash ‘deaths’, ‘‘deaths’. One final spoiler: Stan Lee’s cameo is a bus driver :P

So, that pretty much wraps up my review of Avengers: Infinity War! I was no doubt let down just a bit, but it was such a memorable Marvel movie that I quite like. As I said before, it wasn’t perfect, so I’m giving it a 7/10 stars rating. Maybe I’ll change it once the next Avengers movie comes out. I hope you enjoyed my (very lengthy) review! PS: Stay in your seats at the movie theater until all the end credits and stuff is over. Just trust me y’all.

The end is near.

Happy 5-year anniversary to Avengers: Infinity War. Thrilled to finally share this design with you guys.

From the original announcement in fall 2014, to the final lead up in 2018…Infinity War became a major highlight in my life, and it delivered.

“We’ll lose.”

“Then we’ll do that together too.”

I’ll never forget the first teaser reveal at SDCC 2017, or the first version shown to the world that holiday season. Watching it in IMAX was unbelievable to finally see.

Got started on the LEGO customs 5 months in advance. I had been ready for well over 3 years. Between shakeups in personal life, to Marvel Studios moving the release date up by 2 weeks, reviewing all of LEGO’s official sets early, or even having to move in April too - those months spent working on the showcase were wild. It all ended with a rigorous shoot and one final sleepless night editing before driving out to the theater.

I genuinely don’t know if there will ever be a moment like it again. Wanted to do something special to celebrate (in my opinion) the greatest event film of all time.

"I'd finally rest...and watch the sunrise on a grateful universe."

In order to take the stone, you must lose that which you love...

Thanos and Gamora on Vormir.

An Avengers Infinity War MOC.

It took me three tries to build Vormir the way I wanted it to look. I wanted it to look as close to the scene in Avengers: Infinity War as possible. I think it turned out okay. Then I took the photo and it looks amazing!

Avengers: Infinity War is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt. In the film, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy attempt to prevent Thanos from collecting the six all-powerful Infinity Stones as part of his quest to kill half of all life in the universe.

The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1. The Russo brothers came on board to direct in April 2015, and a month later Markus and McFeely had signed on to write the script for the film, which draws inspiration from Jim Starlin's 1991 comic book The Infinity Gauntlet and Jonathan Hickman's 2013 comic book Infinity. In 2016, Marvel shortened the title to Avengers: Infinity War. Filming began in January 2017 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, with a large cast consisting mostly of actors reprising their roles from previous MCU films, including Brolin as Thanos. The production lasted until July 2017, shooting back-to-back with a direct sequel, Avengers: Endgame. Additional filming took place in Scotland, the Downtown Atlanta area, and New York City. With an estimated budget of $316–400 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made.

In the saddest moment of the time heist, Black Widow and Hawkeye were given a choice by the Stonekeeper: they could gain the Soul Stone only by sacrificing the person they loved most. Both selflessly tried to sacrifice themselves, but only Natasha was “successful”.
