Six Volvo 7900E electric buses have been purchased by Stagecoach West Scotland with support from SP Energy Networks.
Seen at the Priestland terminus of service 1 from Kilmarnock Bus Station is 29303 - SJ21NFF.
The first Electric Bus to operate in Ireland is this Volvo 7900E and it belongs to the Crowne Plaza/Holiday Inn in Northwood Santry and it operates to Dublin Airport on shuttle service

Finally made the effort to go and find the all electric bus that's currently on trials for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and First Manchester. It's a Volvo 7900e, LF67EVV (69900) and is seen at Piccadilly Station as it starts on the Metro Shuttle 2 around the city centre.

Today Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire and it's transport partners we were down at Liverpool's Mann Island with Merseytravel to launch the trial of a Volvo 7900 fully electric, zero-emission bus for trials on South Liverpool bus routes. Liverpool is the 5th and final stop for the fully electric Volvo 7900e trials.

Volvo's 7900e electric bus spent a few weeks on trail with First Manchester on their Metroshuttle 2 route towards the end of 2017.

What is described as Ireland's first electric bus operates between the campus for the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express hotels in Northwood and Dublin airport.
The bus, a one-door 12m Generation 2 Volvo 7900e with 200kW battery capacity, will charge fully in 50 minutes at a charging station which is located on the hotel grounds.
The project has involved the ESB,Tifco Hotel Group and the Dublin Airport Authority.
