Began making this shortly before I posted Coran and Allura. This is without a doubt my favorite figure I've made so far this year. I know I say that for literally every figure I've made, but this definitely is my favorite.
Unlike the other Voltron customs I've made, this figure is based off of the original Voltron series, not the new Netflix one.
The Blazing Sword is made with clay and a Lego sword from the LotR sets.
The entire figure is painted and sculpted in entirety by me. (except for the horns)
So, please let me know what you think of this figure. :D

Made completely with Lego.
I cannot tell you how hard this was. I had to do most of the work myself, but had some help with the design from a site that actually lego-ifies photos. The proportions were off on the one it made so I had to adjust a few things. Like most pixel art it looks better from a few feet back so I suggest you step back from your computer screen or extend your arm a bit.
What do you think of this? Also, if you haven't already, check out Voltron Legendary Defender on Netflix as it's a super awesome show. :D
Looking forward to the official release of the LEGO Voltron set!
I'm still only managing to get to LEGO every now and then at the moment with most of my time spent practicing sculpting, mould making and learning Maya.
I did manage to update this little guy though.
Using a roller skate I managed to make the lion limbs. The angle of the minifig hands (legs) was critical to everything else staying connected. If you are patient you can attach the head and back to the skate with enough clutch to keep them attached.
I also changed up Voltron slightly making the wings attach legally and the legs slightly longer.
With holidays not far away hopefully I can find some more time to get building again! :D
This is a project I started over the summer, and only just got around to finishing it.
Huge shoutout to Tim for doing all the decal work for me. Appreciate ya!
(Minus Voltron as he's actually from the OG Series)
So here we have it! I don't know right now if I will make anymore figures in the future. I might wait until after Season 2 shows up before making anymore. Though when I do, I'm almost certain my first figure will be Sendak.
L to R - (Back row) Witch Haggar, Voltron, and Emperor Zarkon (Front Row) Coran, Lance, Keith, Shiro, Pidge, Hunk, and Princess Allura.
These figures were a blast (and a pain, especially on Voltron's part) to make and if you want to see more, please let me know!
Also if you haven't already, please go watch the series on Netflix. Season 2 is coming soon and you don't want to play catch up, do you? :P

This was supposed to be an entry for the Voltron contest on Lego Ideas, but unfortunately I missed the deadline for submission. The scene depicts an underwater temple on an alien planet where I imagine King Alfor hid the Blue Lion for 10,000 years. It is located under a waterfall flowing down from a lion-shaped mountain and guarded by all manner of giant sea creatures such as a shark, a kraken, a turtle, jellyfish, a sharktopus, and a blue sealion. Over the years, the temple has gotten overgrown with corals, algae, and other underwater plants.
