Shot for Macro Monday's "Hot/Cold" theme.
I had bought alphabet ice cube trays for the little ones to help them learn their letters. When I saw the theme I thought this would make a good shot. These little letters melted so quickly without the flames and moved when they were melting. I think this was the fourth and final attempt. The fire is fueled by vodka.

It was very cold outside so I needed a vodka. That is the result. :-)
(the truth is that I only had water with me and it was frozen! :-()
I'm not much of a drinker (anymore), but these cool looking bottles just might tempt me. It's also nice when the bartender is also a photographer, so he already knows where the good shots (photographically speaking) are.

This was a gift from a Russian friend. I'm not much of a drinker so it's been sitting around for over a year - unopened! But I hear it's best served right out of the freezer with a couple of close buddies ;-)
Some rainbow shots to cheer up a dismal day. They all contain 100% ABV Vodka with a little added food colouring!!

This is a dog named Vodka and he is just as big and rugged as he looks in this picture. He's half Alaskan Malamute and half Siberian Husky and weighs 110 pounds of solid muscle, He could easily pull your car, all by himself and he would love doing it. Totally good natured and always friendly, he is a remarkable individual and I love him like a brother.
Vodka, Lime, Cranberry and Blueberry juice. 3 of my 5 a day, by my reconing, and less calories than wine ;)
Just messin' about with my strobes again. It's a whole lot more difficult than you pros make it look, but still a lot of fun trying.
