I think James Brown influenced Frank Sinatra's use of tight bands and horn sections in the late 1960's. James Brown's vocals were tight bursts of jazz. He could sing ballads like Lou Rawls and croon too just to please the crowd. But his main mission was to funk. El Rostro de la Integración -SICA es una iniciativa de la Unión Europea (UE) y de la Secretaría General del Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (SG-SICA) a través del cual se busca dar a conocer el impacto de la cooperación de la UE y el proceso de integración en la vida de las personas, con énfasis en los esfuerzos realizados por la equidad de género.
El concurso seleccionará a 8 vloggers que viajarán en parejas por Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá y República Dominicana, países que conforman el SICA.
Cada pareja tendrá la oportunidad incursionar en dos países, de manera que cada vlogger será anfitrión de su acompañante en su país de origen, compartiendo costumbres y tradiciones.
Los contenidos producidos por los vloggers serán difundidos en sus redes sociales y en las redes sociales de la UE y del SICA.
La Unión Europea (UE) y el Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (SICA) son los mejores ejemplos de integración regional en el mundo. Ambos son proyectos de paz y solidaridad que asocian sus Estados Miembros (28 la UE y 8 el SICA) en proyectos articulados ante retos comunes para el beneficio de sus ciudadanos.
La alianza entre las dos regiones se remonta a los años 80, desde las negociaciones de los acuerdos de paz de Esquipulas.
La alianza birregional se fortaleció con la firma, el 29 de junio de 2012, del Acuerdo de Asociación entre Centroamérica y la Unión Europea, el primero f irmado entre dos regiones, permitiendo el establecimiento de una alianza estratégica para la consecución de objetivos y compromisos mutuos, en los pilares de diálogo político, comercial y cooperación.
En la actualidad, la Unión Europea es el principal donante de cooperación al desarrollo en la región, su segundo socio comercial y uno de los principales inversores extranjeros.
A partir del 2014 y hasta el 2020, la cooperación regional de la UE cuenta con un presupuesto anual de aproximadamente 150 millones de Euros, enfocándose en las prioridades acordadas por los presidentes de Centroamérica y alineadas con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, particularmente en las siguientes áreas:
Integración social, integración económica y fortalecimiento institucional
Seguridad y Estado de Derecho
Cambio climático y gestión de riesgos de desastres
