Yuri Volkovnikov, an Interstellar Exoplanet Ekistics (ISEE) Astronaut visits the surface of Gliese 3293 b located approximately 59 light years from our solar system... it's crystalline structured surface moves at random and can be quite dangerous. This particular shot was a complete accident - I was entirely focused on getting a particular lens flare from the setting sun. That wavy outline and shadow just behind Lenny is a live and well Mohave #Rattlesnake slithering past in the background. It was literally four feet from me!😳 🐍 You can see his #rattle glowing at the far left side. There was no rattling, just a slight brushing sound. I quickly and quietly tried to get a picture of the snake but only got his rattle. I took some other shots visible in my story or on G+ (Joecow Lego).

I was thinking about how sadness and depression are very similar to the solar eclipse that is happening today throughout the USA. The eclipse at any location only lasts about two minutes. Those minutes may feel so much longer as we experience something so surreal - but they are still only minutes. I don't claim to understand depression and the feelings associated with it, but I do feel they are a small moment in comparison to the joy of this life and the warmth of the sun coming out of that momentary obscurity.

While taking these shots at the carnival I was hunched over on a bench. I had several people come up and ask me if I was ok. Even a medical professional from the ride staff? I'm guessing they thought I was sick or something slumped over like that!?😂👍 It was a rather funny experience - one of the first times I have done toy photography in a busy public place. Later on in the evening one of the ride operators came up to me and handed me a packaged knockoff minifigure he had found on the ground. Score!🙌
