On the Jubilee Beach section of the foreshore also refered to as City Beach.
The name on the makers plate, W and E Moore Ltd, was based in High Street Poplar, East London. Established in 1863 and still trading in the mid 1950's. I don't know about after that. They made hand operated and steam powered winches and are described as ship smiths.
On an exterior wall of De Westerbouwing Hotel near Oosterbeek, Netherlands. The building is situated on high ground in a wooded area overlooking the Lower Rhine. About 4½ miles from the town of Arnhem. Much of the close combat fighting took place here and the hotel building almost completely destroyed in the action of September 1944.
Glacial stream flowing on a forest path near Rohtang La, Himachal.
The stream flowing on a path off the Manali-Leh highway near Rohtang La was an interesting sight. It was probably originating from a small glacier nearby and was on full flow due to the high day temperature.
SN58 CGX in Victoria Aveune, Southend-On-Sea, Essex.
The building in the background is a former office block from the late 1960's that has recently been refurbished and converted in to privately owned flats.
Displayed at the Historic Dockyard Chatham.
This is XE8, Expunger commissioned on 6th November 1944. It would appear that this actual midget submarine was not used operationally in WW2, but others of the same type were. Expunger was built by Broadbents in Huddersfield. She was transported to Portsmouth by railway and used for training and instruction purposes. Taken out of service in 1952 and used as a target somewhere in the region of Portland. Recovered during 1973 and I believe is now part of the Imperial War Museum's collection and has previously been displayed at Duxford.
12 'X' Class craft were ordered ( not all built). 5 got to be used operationally. They were a later development of the type of midget submarine deployed against the Tirpitz
Blue plaque attached to the frontage of St Martin's Theatre on London's West End.
The Mousetrap opened in 1952 at the neighbouring Ambassadors theatre and transfered to the larger St Martin's Theatre in March 1974.
At Wansford Station where the headquarters of the Nene Valley Railway is located.

The Soho Mural painted in 1989 on the end of a row of terraced houses faces on to Noel Street in the Soho area of London.
I can't pretend to understand what it all means, but here's a couple of bits and pieces relating to it. The name ' Ode to the West Wind' is from Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem of the same name. Shelley lived near here around 1819, not long before he lost his life. The boy seen reading the book probably relates to that. The split tree trunk may well relate to the Great Storm (usually called hurricane) of 1987, but possibly could have deeper meaning as well.

This overall design was introduced during 1941, but not produced in any numbers until 1946. Back in 1941 the design was a major update on American Ford cars from the 1930's. But by the time 1948 came along Ford had much more advance body designs ready to go in to production to replace this model range.
Only went out of service in 1986 after being built in 1877 for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway. Now has Grade II listed status and a preservation society to safeguard it.
Brighton Road, Crawley. At the other end of the road on the left is another similar level crossing at Horsham Road. probably just over ½ mile away.
One of the very well presented railway trucks on the standard gauge railway track within the Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent.

Go-Ahead London's Y824 TGH making its was along the A13 London Road towards Southend-On-Sea for the start of another day of the open top service 68.
Group of Punjabi farmers in a tractor-trailer on a highway near Ludhiana, on their way to the site of farmers' protests in Delhi.
The farmers had stopped on the highway side to take a break in their long journey. With a biting cold wind blowing, they were huddled together for warmth, and having their dinner inside the trailer. A tarpaulin sheet was all they had to protect them from this year's unusually bone chilling winter, which has seen temperatures in the plains of Punjab region fall below even Shimla in some instances.
Special thanks to Mohit Khanna (Hindustan Times) for taking me along during his story run on the farmers' protests.
Ulster Volunteer Force mural. There were many such murals to be seen on the route of the tourist bus. Regardless of anything else, the quality of the artwork on some of them was of a high standard.
Preparing for take off at the Flying Festival 2019 held by the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden Airfield.
The Gladiator MkI took to the sky with ease. Fortunately a fault with the Sea Hurricane was detected at this point and not after take off, so stayed on the ground.

No idea what this is really, other than it appears to be a 3 wheeler kit car based around the 602cc engine from the Citroén 2CV. On the DVLA website it is listed as a Citroén Tyke.
Looks good though!
Migrants walking on the Ludhiana-Delhi Highway (NH-44) near Ludhiana, Punjab, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
As the pan-India lockdown gradually extended to nearly 2 months, migrants all over India - predominantly labourers - began an exodus back to their home states.
