After some real summer weather down in the Bellarine, it was wonderful to see a beautiful sunset finish off a great day.

When moving around with a macro lens, a completely new and fascinating world opens up. Found this incredible, alien-like structure while exploring the Akionlahti nature reserve in Oulu, Finland. It looks like a tiny football, but it is actually the ripening seed capsule of an Arctic Starflower (Lysimachia europaea).

A breathtaking scene captured in the endless steppes of Kazakhstan: A massive herd of Saiga antelopes traverses the plains during the golden hour. The dust kicked up by their movement catches the glowing sunset, creating a mystical atmosphere. These critically endangered animals, known for their unique proboscis noses, are a powerful symbol of the untamed wilderness of Central Asia.

When the last rays of the day paint the water in liquid gold, every frame becomes a timeless story.

Proof that the most beautiful corners of the world are often the most peaceful.

This striking landscape photograph captures the rugged grandeur of Levers Water, a glacial tarn nestled high above Coniston in the English Lake District. In the foreground, a large, weathered boulder sits prominently in the shallows, anchoring the composition. The water is remarkably clear, revealing a bed of golden and amber-hued pebbles beneath the surface before deepening into a rich, dark teal.

In the background, the dramatic, steep slopes of the Coniston Fells—including the imposing ridges of Brim Fell and Raven Tor—rise sharply against a moody, cloud-filled sky. Patches of vibrant green grass contrast with the dark, rocky scree slopes and crags. The overcast sky diffuses the light, casting a brooding, atmospheric quality over the entire scene, highlighting the wild and untamed spirit of Cumbria's high country.

This landscape photograph captures the dramatic character of Buttermere in the English Lake District. Viewed from high on the surrounding fells, the scene unfolds through layers of mountains, lakes, and winding waterways beneath an imposing storm front. The image explores the relationship between weather and landscape, using contrast between illuminated greens and dark cloud formations to create a sense of scale, atmosphere, and anticipation. The composition guides the eye through the valley toward the distant waters of Buttermere, emphasizing both the grandeur and tranquility of this iconic location.

The scene could be from a desert in the highlands. I like the combination of cool blue and warm red tones after sunset. There is also a variation of plants in the shot, like the blue cornflowers and the wild margaritas. The hill on the left side reminds me of a volcano. In the background, the moon has risen, which makes the scene complete.

This landscape study, captured in the dramatic fells of Rydal, centers on the dynamic interplay between water and stone. The artistic concept explores the quiet persistence of nature, tracking a glacial mountain stream as it cuts through ancient, fractured bedrock to form a secluded pool.

The composition utilizes the rugged line of the rocky stream bed to lead the eye through the midground, contrasting the fluid movement of the mini-waterfall against the immovable weight of the crags. A classic drystone wall traces the upper slope, anchoring the frame within the unique cultural heritage of the Cumbrian landscape. Beneath an atmospheric, cloud-heavy sky, the shifting light selectively illuminates the rich textures of mountain bracken and grass, capturing a raw, authentic slice of the English Lake District.

Recently I filled one of long time dreams to visit Sarek national park 🇸🇪. The visit turned out to be also one of the toughest hiking trips I ever done, yet it was incredibly rewarding. It was also one of the most unluckiest trips in terms of weather - my single goal of witnessing beautiful golden light lightning up the #Rapadalen valley sadly did not manifest. Instead, I had to cope with two nights of snow storm while being terribly under-equipped to handle such weather on the mountains. We were lucky the tents did not fly off with such high winds.

This image was probably the best moment I had in 8 days - a brief glimpse of light setting behind the mountains somewhere far in the horizon. Yet the best part of photography is to capture such moments - so I might have to print this one to never forget this moment ;-)

Doing some soul-searching during sunrise at the amazing #blåvatnet💙.

Not much posting lately. I have spent the last four months doing some heavy video editing at work, so that has had some admittedly somewhat negative impact on me posting images here. However, now that that the spring is fully under way and the summer is just around the corner, I will aim to find my groove again.

Have a great weekend 💙💙💙

A small visit to one of my facourite spots at the time showed my this wonderful transient scenery. Every now and then, there were small, spontaneous landslides that sent small rocks tumbling down the slope. I savored the tranquility and beauty of that fleeting moment.

The sound is deafening. It gives an impression if i am already within the fall.

We are getting water splashes and one more step or two, and my lens is all wet.

We friends are yelling to communicate, this is fabulous. The one more step idea is a fail as this is the camera lens gear safe limit. Its the cold season and none of us dare to take a bath as well :D

Decided that I needed to get going with some new images as I been pretty lazy of late. This is an image of some of Melbournes most iconic buildings, Australia 108, Eureka Tower, Crown Casino on a cloudless sunset. The Boatbuilders Yard was great for a top up refreshment as well.

A view of the Exhibition building from one of its beautiful ponds. Hoping you have a wonderful weekend Melbourne, Cheers Rob

The city of Naran is not just lucky to have become THE TOURISM hub in Pakistan. It has

that essence,

that spellbinding magic,

those captivating landscapes,

that spirit,

that sensational atmosphere,

that "too good to be true" everything.

In the above image, I have tried to do some justice with the beautiful Naran. Believe me its not the best from there :-D
