This is an aerodinamicist's wet dream. A real life CFD visualisation of the airflow around the vertical stabilizer on a boeing 727.
I'm not entirely sure, but i think this 727 belongs to DHL, can someone confirm, please? lol
This is actually a low quality, blurry picture of an otherwise nice B727. I just found it funny how the wind sock is framing the tail

Garston Cultural Village and Artist Michael Trainor worked together to stage an amazing ‘Cultural Revolution’ as the declaration of the Artistic Republic of Garston on 31 May 2008. The Wellington Street School building in the neighbourhood has become The Garston Embassy, complete with palm trees, fountain, sculpture garden and a balcony of waving dignitaries. The official staterooms inside are available to hire for community programming.

Cell migration is a normal physiological process that is required for development and wound healing, but also occurs in disease for example cancer. Therefore, understanding the mechanisms behind cell migration is essential.
To try and determine these mechanisms I study immune cells in fruit fly embryos, as during development these cells undergo stereotyped migrations to distribute throughout the embryo.
This means that I can overexpress and inactivate proteins within the immune cell and determine how they affect migration
I can identify how the proteins affect cell migration by fixing the embryos and staining the immune cells and the central nervous system (CNS) and then visualising the embryos using a microscope.
By staining the CNS, I can determine the stage of development of the embryo and identify whether the immune cells are in the correct location at this time point. This enables me to determine whether the proteins affect cell migration.
Here the immune cells were stained green and the CNS red; however, I have false coloured the CNS purple as 7% of the male population is red/green colour blind and would not be able to distinguish between the immune cells and CNS.
