Jesus got up one day a little later than usual. He had been dream-

ing so deep there was nothing left in his head. What was it?

A nightmare, dead bodies walking all around him, eyes rolled

back, skin falling off. But he wasn't afraid of that. It was a beau-

tiful day. How 'bout some coffee? Don't mind if I do. Take a little

ride on my donkey, I love that donkey. Hell, I love everybody.

Creative Regions curated an exhibition at Bleeding Heart Gallery (166 Ann St, Brisbane) in January 2013 which showcased the works of 11 Bundaberg region artists as part of the emerging curator program. The opening night was a huge success and the works on show were amazing. Thanks to Tabletop Lamps for making the trip from Bundaberg for the opening night, providing great tunes filling the gallery space.

2nd and 3rd graders at Scouters Mountain Elementary in Happy Valley worked with Earth Arts NW through The Right Brain Initiative. They wrote original fairy tales and created puppets to bring their new stories to life. They learned to “read” visual details, like facial expression, that communicate a puppet’s character, and wove those details into their design. These photographs also show students as they personified their character through movement, freezing in response to prompts.
