Painting student Shelby Martin had a number of paintings go missing from her studio in Kiehle Visual Arts Center last April or May. She discovered the loss when she returned to campus this month.

For a day I'm really not very well nature has painted this photo for me - amazed at the perfection of each stripe and see through wings. Counting this as a blessing in disguise!

Easter egg visual guide: I wanted to focus on Luke's moments before his sacrifice on Ahch-To using the Similfuturus technique to project himself thousand of light-years away from the Jedi temple. The caption is the one we grew to know so well from “The Force Awakens” and I liked the idea of putting this little element that creates a parallel/further contrast between Luke and Kylo. The first doubts of his connection and attuning with the Force to do a good deed, whereas the latter doubts of himself before making one of the most atrocious things in the world. Set on Ahch-To, the picture also shows for the first time my custom 6" Lanais Caretaker from “The Last Jedi”. I loved their presence in the movie and Jake Lunt Davies' wonderful concept work with them. Hope to create some more of them molded on his sketches. The Caretaker is holding Luke's trademark green lightsaber from “Return of the Jedi” as if to say “In case you need this…”. Luke's answer will soon be “No”. Old Master Luke Skywalker has a custom head sculpted by Casting Cave and painted by Vincent Rodella.
