Hello there,

I spotted this rather tropical looking echinacea on a neighbourhood walk and I was pleased to see that a bee was also enjoying the bloom. Thankfully, there seems to be more bees this year.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you!

Have a wonderful day and week!

" Let's not make this complicated, I know you

Last night I had the strangest dream that you knew me too

But you need to wake up

I can't have you disappear

Just like my parent's house

I've become a visitor.. "

Yellowstone, Wyoming, US

Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.

Amazing how in the middle of Winter the bees suddenly appear when there's a bit of sunshine and flowers to feed from.

A bee (species unidentified) visiting a pink marguerite.

Took this shot from our Kitchen window with my 80 400 lens.

Been ill these past few days cannot spend enough time in front of the computer....

Happy July first!

This little chap is a daily visitor who appears on the fence outside our kitchen door every morning when he sees us put the light on!

Thanks for the kind comments and faves on my images; they are very much appreciated.

This beauty landed in one of my oak trees, one that happens to be right in my backyard and he perched about eye level with me. I was up on my back deck.

I got quite a few shots of him and waited a long time hoping he'd take off, but he outlasted me. I think he's still out there.

An overnight snow storm dumped several inches on us last night and the birds are really hitting my feeders. One of my favorite Winter visitor is the pine warbler.

Red and Blue Damselfly (Xanthagrion erythroneurum)

I normally see the Red and Blue Damselflies in the wetlands and around the Vic Uni Pond. I spotted this one in 'the back corner' of our garden yesterday afternoon.

I was so excited to have this American Lady butterfly come to my garden late last week! This is the first time that one has ever visited my yard!

You are late to the party Mr. Crow.

Sorry about being away yesterday but I do not get out much,

Today was a dilemma as I had to solve my internet once again with phone calls and complaints, then I had to figure out what I could post. Then, as always a two for one deal popped into my head. Happy Bench Monday and then share it with my Teddy Bear Tuesdays.

This image of a handsome Mandarin Duck was captured in an urban park somewhere in London. Although this particular duck was free-living, his relative fearlessness probably meant he interacted regularly with humans.

This species of duck is native to Eastern Asia (China, Japan and Russia), where they are now rare, although a large and thriving introduced population can be found in the British Isles and Western Europe, with additional smaller introductions in North America.

The Mandarin Duck is a very rare winter visitor to Hong Kong. Over the last five years of constant searching, I’ve only ever managed to see a single wild pair in Hong Kong.

Thank you for your interest, views, faves, comments and awards ! This image was captured in London, UK 英國倫敦. (Better viewed on a larger screen.)
