it's not just the teeth... but then... i accept that i have my own bias. girl-wonder-girl wearing cool pink glasses. no. not required. just to protect her eyes from getting jabbed or drizzled upon when the hygienist cleans and polishes... she was in a particularly happy mood... and very happy to see me... as i was her... it's nice that it goes like that...

2019-09-23 On vacation, I had discovered a dark spot on the lateral incisor and immediately called the dentist. I had an appointment on Monday after my return. No good news: The tooth is eaten away by tooth decay and needs to be extracted. (The tooth didn't hurt because it's root-treated). This means that I need either an implant or a bridge. And that happens to me...I'm so afraid of the dentist!

2019-09-23 Im Urlaub hatte ich eine dunkle Stelle am kleinen Schneidezahn entdeckt und sofort beim Zahnarzt angerufen. Ich hatte gleich am Montag nach meiner Wiederkehr einen Termin. Keine gute Nachricht: Der Zahn ist von Karies zerfressen und muss raus. Das bedeutet, dass ich entweder ein Implantat oder eine Brücke brauche. Und das mir, wo ich so eine Angst vorm Zahnarzt habe!

191028: Recently I visited the dentist because a small part of the wisdom tooth had to be repaired. It wasn't bad at all, but when it was over, the dentist told me that air had entered the tissue. I asked what that would mean - if I had a hamster cheek now? He said, "Yes." I said, "You're kidding me, right?" But w hen I looked in the mirror, I noticed that he was right. I looked like a hamster collecting winter supplies.

191028: Ich war kürzlich beim Zahnarzt, weil eine kleine Stelle am Weisheitszahn repariert werden musste. Es war gar nicht schlimm, aber als ich fertig war, sagte der Zahnarzt zu mir, dass Luft ins Gewebe gekommen sei. Ich fragte, was das bedeuten würde, ob ich jetzt eine Hamsterbacke hätte? Er sagte: "Ja." Ich: "Sie verarschen mich, oder?" Als ich in den Spiegel sah, stellte ich fest, dass er recht hatte. Ich sah aus wie ein Hamster, der Wintervorräte eingesammelt hat.
