Carte de visite by an unidentified photographer. A young man in an elaborately trimmed jacket, purple-red tinted sash and hat plume, poses with a revolver. The sash and plume is similar to that worn by a man connected to the Knights Templar of Virginia: www.flickr.com/photos/8026096@N04/54229775826/in/datepost...

This carte de visite came from the same album that held the two cartes of the lovely woman the in striped dress. This appears to be the same child as in www.flickr.com/photos/60861613@N00/4909029650/, now about age 4 or 5, and the man on the left is apparently her father.
The album contained mostly images taken in Liverpool and revolve around this man and his family, as well as other kindred from Germany. This carte was taken at H. Burrows Photographic Artist, No. 59 Moorfields, Liverpool.

Carte de visite by an unidentified photographer. Four separate photographs have been pieced together to form a collage that tells the story of a family of five and its home. A mother of three, a guitar playing father, and a home surrounded by cultivated vines and a picket fence.

Carte de visite by Jabez Hughes, dated 26 August 1869 (presumably the date sent/presented rather than the date taken). On the reverse there is a hand written contemporary inscription that says "In remembrance of the Osbourne visit. August 21st [or is it 26th?] 69. From her Aunt Maria. I am left wondering if this was a visit to Osbourne, or from the Osbourne family?
