VIRTLANTIS is a free resource and open community of practice for language learners and teachers in the virtual world of Second Life®. We offer free informal language learning activities for a growing number of languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, etc. All of our activities are offered free of charge by volunteer language teachers and/or native speakers.
Everyone is welcome to offer a language activity at VIRTLANTIS. We provide free resources and ongoing support. We also collaborate with and promote other language communities in Second Life.
In addition to our main island and the various social meeting points at Knowingly, we have additional locations which can be used when needed.

Na ordem do dia, proposta que prorroga a isenção do IPI na aquisição de carros para transporte autônomo de passageiros e para pessoas com deficiência (PL 5.149/2020); projeto de lei da Câmara (PLC 148/2017 – Complementar), que inclui 76 municÃpios de Minas Gerais e três municÃpios do EspÃrito Santo nas áreas da Superintendência do Desenvolvimento do Nordeste (Sudene). Também deve ser analisado proposta que prorroga até 2025 o prazo para possuidores de grandes terras em faixa de fronteira obterem os documentos exigidos para confirmar a propriedade em seu nome perante os cartórios de registro de imóveis (PL 1.792/2019) e o projeto de lei da Câmara que trata da polÃtica de inovação Educação Conectada (PLC 142/2018). Ainda em pauta projeto que cria regras para prevenir o superendividamento dos consumidores, além de proibir práticas enganosas e instituir audiências de negociação (PL 1.805/2021) e a PEC que acaba com a perda automática de cidadania brasileira de quem obtém outra (PEC 6/2018).

Virtual Enterprises International and WISE held the summit in New York from April 4-7, 2011 and was sponsored by New York Life Foundation, Deloitte, HSBC and McGraw-Hill Education. Students competition included the National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) and Global Business Challenge (GBC). The NBPC challenged Virtual Enterprise students from across the country to demonstrate their global business expertise through written business plans and oral presentations. It showcased the best practices, rewarded excellence and allowed high school students to apply sophisticated knowledge and skills attributed to business professionals and college students. 19 teams began the competition with the winner announced on the April 7th at the Trade Fair. The GBC competition tasked students to work in multinational teams to identify the challenges, opportunities and risks involved in a global business by examining a business case styd. After 2.5 hours of analysis and deliberation, teams presented their findings to a plane of judges.

The art community in Second Life is a varied one. Fine art, outsider art, underground art, performance art and music are all mixed in with the technical aspects of programming and scripting.
Second Life is one of the first places to combine right and left brain thinkers into one fantastic execution of art and builds in a virtual reality.
The sophistication of the artist is apparent at several places on the SL grid. There are many places that rival my favorites, but these are my personal choices based on my reaction or how long it stayed with me.
The Apollo sim will always be my very favorite place, but here are two that just captured my head and heart. La Reve and pteron are included on my "to die for" list and of course, The A List!
Both are fantastic. Both are fabulously done with a flair that most of us who build, will never achieve. I also included a few stand-outs from Esperance, Nebulous's ArtHole installation, and also, the conceptual Muzik Haus.
Muzik Haus is included, not because of the build itself. That part is simple, but the concept itself is one that stays with me. Mr Widget is the dj and his party making mash-ups create a total ambiance that drives the performance itself.
He is my current favorite dj. He is a mash-up king. And he shares his knowledge with us so generously.
All these places and all these people... standing before you and your art, sometimes overwhelms me to a point of tears. The emotional connection I feel when I explore or listen is the reason why I believe that art equals life. For without art... life is a dreary place and that is no life for anyone.
