Exploring the various passages at the Baths in Virgin Gorda was a blast. I wish I was there now as this is one of my all time favorite places to spend an hour - day - week, etc.
These are some of the boulders on Virgin Gorda. I always think about the moon when I go here as the boulders remind me of the grey of the moon. If there was water on moon, maybe it would look like this. :)
On the island of Virgin Gorda, this mine was constructed in 1837. Copper was mined here for 24 years. Most of the miners came from Cornwall in England. This area is extremely vulnerable to the weather as it sits on the extreme southeast corner of the island.
Sadly this place was badly damaged from Hurricane Irma in 2017. The good news is rebuilding efforts began in the spring of 2018. This was a mainly a restaurant, but also had a few hotel rooms. All guests had to take a short boat ride in as it was on it's own island. I only passed by on a boat trip way back in 2014, but I would love to return for a meal when it is rebuilt.
This boulder kept reminding me of The Matterhorn. The color of this boulder on top even looks like it has some snow. I realize the shape is off from the Matterhorn, but a tropical Matterhorn boulder in the Caribbean could be a distant cousin, right?

This is at a resort on Virgin Gorda called Little Dix Bay. I stopped by the resort to have a bite to eat and to check out the beach. Looked like a gorgeous place, but very pricey to stay there. The facilities looked top notch.
The Baths area in Virgin Gorda is so unique with the clarity of the water, but most of all for the all off the big boulders that are scattered haphazardly everywhere..
I was at Little Dix Bay having a drink, turned around and saw this nice view through the vegetation. I was the driver of the rental car so it was only soft drinks for me. I heard that the rum punch was very good.

Happy summer solstice to everyone.
The Baths National Park on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Huge house sized granite boulders litter this tidal area where wandering the passages is to be 5 years old again.

The huge boulders at The Baths on Devils Bay, Virgin Gorda, are a trademark of the British Virgin Islands.
the reflection on the water intrigued me. it wasn't small puddles, it was a large body of water inside huge boulders. Either way, I liked it.

I was riding on the tender back to the ship in Virgin Gorda and the number of catamarans that we passed was very high, but they were all neatly docked in their rows.
