Performing at Gatsby’s Supper Club in Las Vegas. This was my first time hearing this young musician. I went to Gatsby’s to photograph a fellow musician’s band that night, and Rahmaan happened to sit in with them. He floored the audience! Great playing and great stage presence! Plus you could feel his joy in the act of creating/improvising music. I look forward to hearing him again!

Saw this violinist performing in the streets of downtown Frederick. She was performing excellent renditions of Pachelbel canon and such. It was dark outside to the point I had up my ISO to 6400 to get a decent shot (which helps with the grain effect). Used a B and W Selenium tone preset in Lightroom on this one.

He was 1st violinist in the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra. This is from the last intimate concert for a couple of good friends before they moved to Sweden
Description: The violinist slowly sways the bow back and forth gracefully. She allows herself to be engulfed with her bittersweet memories as the sweet,sorrowful melodies echoed throughout the empty mansion. The moon offers some light upon her as in offering that even in one's darkest moments, one might find company.
