View looking over the left side of the bridge , not sure why i didn't use my 70-200mm because this is heavily cropped , some great weather in the distance and i didn't get wet 👍
Just got back from yet another trip to the Lake District. Not many photos taken due to inclement weather (putting it mildly) but here's one from April last year. I must have found a handy rock as this is in high resolution mode.
The view from the top of the Campsie Fells looking NW towards the Trossachs.
On the day in question, the South side of the Fells was foggy and dreich; the North side was foggy and frosty; the top, however, was frosty but ablaze with sunshine in a largely cloudless blue sky .. magical!
Aussicht vom Bantiger
2023
The Bantiger is the local mountain of the Bernese, visible from afar, its lookout tower is present in the whole area. I took one of my grandchildren with me and together we enjoyed the view. Although I don't really like the popular lookouts, of course I took a few pictures.

View of lupine and balsam root wildflowers in the Gorge, shortly before the sun crested the horizon. It is almost always windy at this location. Dawn is the best chance for stillness. As it was, I was lucky to find a moment at 1/6 second when the flowers weren't in motion.
View from Howth Head looking south over the Bailey lighthouse. The rain clouds gather as the evening light begins to fade.
The Sealink car ferry can be seen plying its way to north Wales , UK with the Wicklow mountains where I live, and the County Wexford coastline 70 miles away being clearly visible, stretching away into the distance. Zooming in will show some great detail.

Im trying to compile a list of groups that dont use their own award system and dont have silly rules. If anyone can suggest some of these groups, it would be great. I have discovered about 45 so far which I use.
Hope your weekend is super!

A few weeks back, on what started out as a misty morning, I decided I'd rush up to London to see if I could take advantage of the mist for some architectural photography. Well, I'm not really someone that is very good at rushing anywhere and so it goes without saying that by the time I got into London the mist had all but gone. There is very slight evidence of it here in the distant Canary Wharf architecture on the right and those buildings on the left but that was about as much mist as I got that morning. The view here is of the HMS Belfast, a second world war Royal Navy warship permanently moored in the Thames as a tourist attraction. In the background of course the always photogenic Tower Bridge.

The view of Athens from the top of mount Lycabettus.
You can see in perfect detail, the Acropolis, the Syntagma square on the bottom left corner along with the Hellenic Parliament, the Acropolis Museum, even Piraeus port and Aegina island. Please enjoy the view!
Another shot from my visit up Church Hill, Alnmouth, this time a 10 shot panorama, to capture the full curve of the river.

I took this shot during a hike in the mountains of Glarus, Switzerland. We were on our way back when I crossed this bridge and saw this beautiful view. The slowly setting sun was bathing the landscape in a play of colors, light and shadow.
This is my last post for a while. I will be hiking in the Dolomites, Italy and hope to be back with some nice images! I'll catch up with you all when I'm back!
