This is a re-edit of a shot taken back in 2009. I am uploading a lot of photos to viewbug.com, and having to increase dpi and file size on them, and I found that for some reason, the site won't let me pull from my home computer, so I've been taking the images right off Flickr after reposting them there. If they look familiar to you, they just might be! If you've been looking at my work for a long time, you might recall these shots. I hope you will like them, anyway, and they will be a new experience for those who haven't seen all my albums yet! I'll be off Flickr most of the time as I've had tons of transitioning to do, moving hundreds of photos, editing, and trying to go to work in the meantime. Not enough hours in the day...
This shot was one of many I took over a three day weekend I spent with a good friend of mine, Diana, at a condo in Daytona Beach Shores. The weather was pretty volatile that week, so I stayed in the condo most of the time and took photos from the balcony. The assortment of wonderful shots I got, from beautiful morning sunny skies to this dreadful looking cloud wall moving out to see was spectacular! Nature provided some of the best views I've ever had. this shelf cloud was truly ferocious looking as it rolled by, with a density so thick that the lightning within it could only be seen as a glow protruding underneath! Now and then a bolt would show, but mist of the time it was like this. Awesome sight!
