From the Mount of Pouilly, we discover a stunning view on the Roche de Solutré (Solutre's ROck) and the small village of Solutré at its foot. In the late afternoon, while the sun was soon to set, the scenery was especially gorgeous.

Just past Ober Saum we got this lovely view into Muotathal. Unfortunately, the day was no longer very clear, but still, it was worth a picture!
The Chateau Lake Louise Lakeview Bar stands out as a rather nice place to have a cup of coffee, cocktail, beer or other favorite drink. Wonderful place to hang out after enjoying the many hikes that are around this beloved lake.

High up on the battlements of the castle in Verona the reason for its location on the banks of the River Adige are quite clear.

My favorite hiking partner is my son, who has a lot of patience and never leaves me behind.
This was taken near the top of the Whistlers in Jasper National Park. The large quartzite boulders are erratics that were dropped off here by a glacier 11,000 years ago.
Early AM view of the river with several inches of new snow. Most of it was melted by this evening, but soon will be around for good.
Garry Point Park on the Fraser River, is a scenic view point to take in the sights of the Historic Steveston Fishing Harbour and its surroundings.
Steveston Heritage Fishing Village is a charming fishing village that is situated on the Mighty Fraser River in RIchmond, BC.

A giant fisherman's needle is the centre point of the stone compass, rose engraved with the names of local fisherman lost at sea.
*Please note how the cloud appears to be threading the needle.
Definitely one of British Columbia's best kept secrets.
