A view over Edinburgh from Salisbury Crags. The Scott Monument and Forth Bridges can be seen in the distance.
I have set up a new facebook photography page, any likes would be greatly appreciated! www.facebook.com/KeithTuckerPhotography
Absolutely a bucket list place to visit. Taken from the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman bridge. Walking across the bridge was an adventure in itself!
We missed the open tours by a couple weeks as they were still closed from Covid restrictions.
I would absolutely go back for that, this place has both history and magic about it, quite the marvel.
Great view from the Walhalla although not pleased with sunlight.

Everywhere in the meadows there are great views. You must see them only. This photo was taken in the orchards between Götterswickerhamm and Merum on the lower Rhine.

The Sassi di Matera ("Stones of Matera" in English) are ancient cave dwellings in the Italian city of Matera, Basilicata. Situated in the old town, they are composed of the Sasso Caveoso and the later Sasso Barisano.
The Sassi originate from a prehistoric troglodyte settlement and are suspected to be among the first human settlements in Italy. There is evidence that people were living here as early as the year 7000 BC.
The Sassi are houses dug into the calcarenitic rock itself, which is characteristic of Basilicata and Apulia, locally called "tufo" although it is not volcanic tuff or tufa.
Matera is the only place in the world where people can boast to be still living in the same houses of their ancestors of 9,000 years ago.
Until the late 1980s this was considered an area of poverty, since many of these houses were, and in some cases still are, uninhabitable. Current local administration, however, has become more tourism-oriented, and it has promoted the regeneration of the Sassi with the aid of the European Union, the government, UNESCO, and Hollywood.

Another beautiful view of the beach and the

Llanbedrog beach, Porthor - [ Oer ], Whistling Sands and
Abersoch feature on lists of the best beaches in the UK.
The Llyn Peninsula enjoys a milder climate
than the Welsh mainland due to The Gulf Stream that passes through.

View from Fisherman's Bastion (Halászbástya) across the Danube on Pest part of Budapest
Pest is one of the three cities that created the Hungarian capital Budapest. It is the largest, largely flat, part of the capital that lies on the left bank (east bank) of the Danube.
With its 352 km², Pest covers approximately two thirds of the capital's territory. The Danube divides the district from Buda and Óbuda, the other two parts of Budapest, with which it was united in 1873. Informally, the name Pest is often used to indicate the whole of Budapest.
Pest is home to the business heart of the city, the Parliament building with the various ministries and the City Park with the Heroes' Square (Hősök tere). Most industry is also located in Pest.
View of the City of London taken from the 72nd floor of the building called the Shard in London. This is currently the tallest building in England and what a view! It was cloudy all day, but we got just a quick break in the clouds for sunset.
A view from the gates of the Ayios Georgios castle in Kefalonia, which was shut when I tried to visit.

This is one I took some time ago overlooking Burrator Reservoir and the bridge that spans the Dam below, Burrator is one of the most beautiful places to go for a walk or a bike ride and picnic. Thanks for taking the time to view
So, we'd had a bench with hardly any view, but further on there was this marvellous view, with a bench down below, but not where we were. No problem, I just sat on the grass and relaxed.
I'm ready to go in the driver's seat of my son's golf cart. Captured for Smile on Saturday theme: View the V... HSoS everyone!
