A camera cage is good for mounting accessories such as a field monitor (small TV), a microphone and a video light without putting the weight of these items on the camera body itself (as shown in the picture above). Evidently, this set-up is used in videotaping and not for still photography:

I had a wonderful time teaching at the Digital Wedding Forum conference in San Antonio, and I got to do some really fun shoots along the way, testing out new gear for B&H Photo. Edited version: I noticed a bit of sloppy masking on the original after it was uploaded so have edited to correct those and made a few other small tweaks.
We have a new great grandchild being born shortly and so I was busy making her some hats as a girl can never have too many hats and a Lovey Bunny. A lovey can be a replacement for a security blanket or just a soft toy for a little one to carry around.
Like most of you, December is a bit of a hectic month for me so hopefully I will get to see all of your images as quick as I can. In the meantime, I will thank you now in advance for having a peak at my images here.

Same setup as previous shot but with a red background reflected onto the acrylic sheet.
The video light was not powerful enough to light the background though, so a couple of 20W CFL lamps were used, taking care to not let any of their light fall on the subject.
