FRONT PAGE EXPLORE #3. Thank You

Join me for the experience :)

That's what I got ! slight enhancement of the color . BUT the colors/hues are the same - no change. some from different stages of the sunset - effecting the sky. This place has very soft landing waves ..would'nt call them waves at all !

Blending of two tone mapped images . One tone map image for the sky and the other for the water-transparency. Each tone map is generated from 4-5 exposures Added some lighting effects .

This is an old one...quite grainy too...i have a busy day tomoro...

Hope it removes all the Monday blues...

Have a great week ahead guys...

It happened very much in the sky of Ahmedabad on 26th June...... When God spilled a few colours across his sky blue canvas:)

I Hate my Camera....!!

Last weekend I had an opportunity to witness this exciting rainbow. It was unbelievable! Two complete semicircles visible on open landscape. One vas visible clearly and the other looked like a vague reflection on the clouds. First I got excited and pulled out my camera to shoot. But only then I found that my camera is not good enough to capture it in full. Felt even bad later when I viewed this in my Computer. I could not capture even half of the beauty and mood.... :-(

But now I confront myself "Nature’s versatility is greater than any human invention...."

I am sharing this with you Flickerites even though these are not my best shots …!!

This is the water falling over at Nevada Falls. It creates this beautiful split of colors. The texture of the air filled with transient water droplets are a big plus :)

While coming home from Kasauli very strong twin Rainbows were observed by us near Pinjore. as if they were saying "Welcome home"

You can also watch video of the Rainbow in my photstream.

Its time to rise and shine again. Go Thulusdhoo (MALDIVES)

Photography and editing is Fun..:D

This is a real big phat one. One of those which drop by once a year maybe or sometimes, once in a lifetime. Yesterday evening out of nowhere this huge rainbow appeared right outside the home and it was so big that a regular 18 mm was able to only capture this much and no more.

The green topped roof are a part of the Le Meridien Hotel complex.

The colorful umbrella is a counterpoint to show the colors of the rainbow. It, the umbrealla, is made in China and is really tacky in its build. So we are looking at some one watching the grand spectacle of Light from underneath the Chinese umbrella.

Please let me know who is the winner ? TIA

The very pretty Palouse falls on a warm late autumn (Edit: Updated the season) afternoon!

Cropped to focus on the colors.

One of the best waterfalls in India. Noh Ka Likai waterfalls in Cherrapunji of Mehalaya district. It is the only waterfalls in which we could see the VIBGYOR colours when water falls from the waterfalls.

All the seven colours are visible !!!!

..........Author unknown.

This yellow wall with deeply recessed light funnel is located at a place near Ahmadnagar in Maharashtra. It was the home where Meher Baba spent his time. The Baba has a large following of enlightened followers. He took a vow of silence and never uttered a word in public in the last few decades of his life.

He is easy to follow and non obtrusive. There is no hype associated with his teachings or the methodology of his disciples. There is no effort whatsoever to try and garner funds and followers or to enforce a belief system.

The VIBGYOR of the colors stands exemplified here in this house that was built in 1938. Though the VIB has become BIV, most probably because of some not so color aware followers who may have undertaken repairs and replacement.

( Edit April 2013 - I have been told subsequently that this was Baba's very own creation of a flag and this was the color scheme for the flag that he wanted. So all my hypothesis on a wrong VIBGYOR does not hold any water or color )

You can read more about the maverick God being at wiki

Don't Worry Be Happy ! a great hit from the 90s is ascribed to the Meher Baba

The ring around the sun also called as halo around the sun or the halo effect.

Light from the dust particles around the sun gets dispersed thus forming a vibgyor ring.

Colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

These are the colors of the rainbow in the proper order.

The mnemonic device that will help you remember these colors is

“Roy G. Biv.”

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

Rainbows are generally described as very colorful and peaceful.

In Greek mythology, the rainbow was considered to be a path made by a messenger (Iris) between Earth and Heaven.

Roy G. Biv is the most common acronym used to remember the colors in their proper order. Roy G. Biv stands for: Red Orange Green Blue Indigo and Violet.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

There are seven colors in the rainbow.

These colors are created by the different wavelengths of light.

The seven colors that make up our visible light color spectrum are a tiny portion of the wavelengths that exist. We can also measure ultraviolet waves and radio waves.

or

They are presented in this order in order to list them in decreasing wavelength size. Red has the largest wavelength and Violet has the smallest.

These differing wavelengths are why the colors appear different to our eyes. Though they are most commonly presented in the Roy G. Biv form, they are also occasionally presented as VIBGYOR to illustrate the reverse order of the wavelengths, from smallest to largest wavelength.

Sunlight broke into VIBGYOR as it passed through my aquarium. From a particular angle, due to prism effect, all the colors were being visible. I thought ...how it could be if I take some experimental photographs of some of my fishes against this colors??? .....and this is one the way I took, and then photoshopped to create a little bit effect.

I know not how will you like it???
