10/1/07 – When you’re a cog in a large corporation, it is essential to cultivate the ability to multitask. Whether or not you have this skill, is the difference between sinking or swimming in the day-to-day of cube-life.
Multitasking is a work skill which can easily be applied in the home life too (especially if you have children). So when today’s Flickr Group Roulette challenge turned out to feature the Pretending To Pee group, I thought I’d take the opportunity to utilize this talent. I needed a pic, needed to shave, and my handy-dandy shadow was an extremely useful asset in pretending to pee.
Dubsyuhs bought us a couple polaroid backs for our holgas just in time to find out polaroid is discontinuing the film.
These things are so fun and so addictive. I went through three packs yesterday and am going to buy more today! Getting the exposure right was difficult at first (I wasted an entire pack) but once I got the hang of it (and dealing without a viewfinder) I was hooked.

And one more from last Saturday afternoon at Montrose Beach (Chicago, IL). Mommy and Maddie wade into Lake Michigan... mommy for the umpteenth time... Maddie for her first! =)
A few short weeks ago, Madison had her first Atlantic Ocean experience... but sadly... neither I, nor my camera were able to be there. But I was ready for this 'first'... much closer to home.
Lake Michigan water temperature last Saturday was measured at 70º F... which still feels pretty cold to a 98.6º F body in high-80º sunshine! And a bit of a shock to young Miss Madison at first! But being the future beach bunny that she surely is... she knew all she had to do was dip her toes in a few times... and then just look good on the beach! =)
Which is just what she did.

Getting her feet wet... more detail on black.
Texture by leschick... and thank you!
I am still alive and I still have been working a tough schedule. I've made a goal to get around to everyone's photos this upcoming week. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy the latest series of pictures that I had lots of fun getting! :)
And eventually... the Thanksgiving Day Parade makes it's way up State Street (Chicago, IL) past where I am standing. Which unfortunately, is not a good vantage point for decent parade shots... at all. All I really had an opportunity to shoot was the big character balloons. Like Mr. Cartoon Turkey, here. It's his day... his parade... unless of course, you count the jolly man in red at the end of it all...
All in all... nice couple of hours. Noisy, colorful, festive, even a bit cheesy... but really nice couple of hours. And once again... cameras are raised high! Cha ching... another dollar for me... ;)

It's the Thanksgiving Day Parade along State Street in downtown Chicago, Il...
and the first of the marching bands is just coming into view. Well... almost.
With all those many heads in front of you, sometimes the best view is the
camera's perspective... raised high above the people standing in front of you.
If I had a dollar for ever raised camera that morning... =)

We shot a HUGE wedding on Saturday and set up an all white giant photo booth for the guests to amuse themselves...and that they did!
Our daughter was in charge of keeping them wild and crazy, she did an awesome job! Shots are hilarious!!!
Got dinner from the #drivethru at @cfafolsom tonight and during this time of year they apparently have some #spectacular #lightshows in their drive thru line. It is #veryfun

picking up on the meme idea that's been floating around flickr. the concept:
a. type your answer to each of the questions below into flickr search.
b. using only the first page, pick an image.
c. copy and paste the html into your flickr stream (the easiest way is to copy the urls and then head over to the fd's flickr toys and use the mosaic maker).
the questions:
1. what is your first name?
2. what is your favorite food?
3. what high school did you go to?
4. what is your favorite color?
5. who is your celebrity crush?
6. favorite drink?
7. dream vacation?
8. favorite dessert?
9. what you want to be when you grow up?
10. what do you love most in life?
11. one word to describe you.
12. look up your flickr name and find something about you.
some of the photo results for me didn't fit exactly (like my high school, ha!), but this was a fun exercise. you will learn new things (there was a storm called "kirsten"?!), find some great photos (and new contacts in the process), and be forced to think a bit (one word to describe me? what do I want to be? what do I love most? ahhh!). try it! :)

My parents got me some Cd's, my brother some movie and we have to celebrate locked up in our pretty apartment hahaha crappy its always nice to celebrate among friends and make ur inner child more visible , let it come out and play some more before u keep it again till next year. I never keep it though it would make my life very boring . So people never forget who u are cause in that kid that is the base of ur self resides a big part of what u are. HAVE FUN!
