I don't expect you to be able to spot them all at this resolution, but there are 3 benches in this HBM photo.

This is another 4 shot pano-verto (2across, 2 up) because .... well because it is something to do when I get bored. :)

This is a nearby drainage (clean water) pond that I often shoot when I pass by in winter.

The Lingotto di Torino is a district of buildings located in the Nizza Millefonti district of Turin, closed between via Nizza (from number 230 to 294) and a branch of the railway link, adjacent to the homonymous Lingotto district.

It was one of the main production plants of the FIAT car factory, later converted into a large multifunctional center.

In 1994, on the roof of the central building, the so-called Bolla was built, again on a project by Renzo Piano, that is a semi-spherical and transparent meeting room, equipped and panoramic with 25 seats, made of steel and crystal glass, with a view on the Alps and on the parabolic test track. A heliport landing disc was also built on the same supporting structure as the Bolla, which seems almost suspended, to allow the fast landing of helicopters.

A four shot verto-pano. I tried to be more creative with my entries for the various categories of LPOTY 2023 (Landscape Photographer of the Year) this year. I managed to get two shortlisted last year so this year I thought I would give it another go. Didn't do me any good though! All rejected. Anyone else more successful? I came to the conclusion I was wasting my time (and money). Will anyone see the beauty of such a shot as above, or is being uncreative and unimaginative all part of the "landscape" discipline?

If you haven't seen this before it's the extrordinary effect of the black grit being washed down from Ardnamurchan's surrounding volcanic mountains in streams that cross the white seashell sand of Fascadale Bay. Tide, waves, wind and gravity create fascinating patterns and shapes where they mix the dark and light sand and grit.

Well have i been playing with my new 110ND. Well yes, of course i have. I visted this jetty a few months back and shot a hdr of it. But i wasn't completely happy with it. I deserves to be a bit more moody and armed with the 100ND and a 10-20mm. I got the Vertorama i wanted to get from this spot.

Hope you all enjoy this Verto. I enjoyed putting it together. :-)

This shot was taken at Lake Ohau on the way towards Wanaka.

Verto combination of two shot for for sky and mount and one for ground details. Water was so clear and blue. this was orignal colour of lake dont think that i add some filter to make it more blue no.

This Verto is to show the real beauty of this lake that was not possible to capture it in single shot :D

Decided to peek in and say hello. Been busy with travel and work.....I'll still be more OFF than ON.

This is an old take. I struggled with getting this Verto right - 2 failed attempts. Finally on my 3rd attempt and I used more of layer masking + light painting to transition close edges

HDR for the boat - face. The rest is processed via CS3 - blending mode of 2 exp for the sky . single exp for the rocks and some light painting.

BTW, the boat is about 2.5 / 3 feet in height, not as big as it looks here.

Back in HDR Verto Addiction. like the way how golden colour pop up on sky and glow on sand.

Combination of 6 shots 3 for sky and 3 for ground details then used Photomatix to blend them in HDR and manually stitch them togather in Photoshop and used colour contrast, saturation and used Dodge tool to get more details on sand and on water.

Best in Large

I love looking at the detail on a beach: the seaweed, the wormcasts, the rocks, the crabclaws and shells. There were no patterns in the sand here, but the outlook across the spikey rocks to the peaky tops of Eigg and Rum make a stunning view.

If you live in a city or a town your view out your window may be into your neighbour's window. In which case a holiday in Ardnamurchan might be just the sort of place you want to be, true escapism away from everything: people, consumerism, social media, plastic shit and things made in China. If squeezing past people is your thing, and you've forgotten or never known what quality of life is, you can try the Icon of the Seas instead www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12302831/A-true-Icon-Sea...

Been meaning to edit this one since is shot it a couple of weeks ago. I love the central vanishing point subject. That's what got me into photography all those ten years ago. lol At eh moment i'm searching my area like i have never before and i am finding more then i thought we had. I'm quite naive sometimes about my area. But i do still feel generally it is featureless.

Hope you enjoy this verto :-)

I am not sure why Flickr wont allow me to view this image.. this is my second upload on this, sorry for those who commented as I deleted the first one. Anyway, maybe flickr knows that this is not nice so they wont allow it to be uploaded. I dont have any new shots for the moment so here is another from my sentosa visit.

Happy Weekend to you all!

I love this jetty . Rusty, wobble and has a lot of great things about the location. Well when the tide is in. The movement of the boat look cool in the verto. :-)

My first Verto from those holidays in Namibia!

I saw this tiny little Springbok while coming down from a dune at the end of Dead Pane in Sossusvlei!.

He was not scary at all and did as if he was waiting form me to take some pictures of him.

I was amazed to see this fragile lonely animal on a very hot day and in the middle of a very dried area!

Obviously he knew better than me where the next water hole would be!

I haven't used my camera over the weekend, but thought I'd upload something from Fridays shoot, Really liked the simplicity of this one, It is however part of a verto stitch job for the whole room, Which I should really be working on instead of being on flickr

DRI- Digital Blending for the sky and tone mapping for the rocks. polished off with some exposure blending for the verto image

Seen at Chaffey's Lock on the Rideau Canal. In order to get the whole canopy in the frame, I took 5 horizontal (landscape orientation) images and had Lightroom stitch them together.

I think a vertorama is suitable for Slider Sunday, don't you?

Had planned on shooting some verto's or pano's today, but to no avail, I did however forget to switch my camera back to raw and 12.2, and instead shot in jpeg and 3.1 mp for the few shots I did take, arghhhh, However, this was taken with a lens that I didn't really have much hope for on my nikon, It's a Helios 58mm f2, And it's tack sharp even @ f2, much sharper than my 50 f1.8, and the contrast it picks up is pretty awesome to, Anyhoo, I have a spare one if anyone wants it just gives a shout,

Another shot at Laingholm Bay with different angle. here i try to make HDR Verto :D

Hope will not boaring fory you guys

A lovely reflection on Bethells Beach.

Have a closer look...

A place for relaxing, a place for stress relief, peaceful and quite and really good atmosphere. But my mood is not the same as my photo, something happening on my stomach. I think I need to see doctor again...

Hope this will cheer up my day!!!! And have a great weekend to all!!!!

Well I'm working backwards with this shoot. This was the picture taken 30 minuntes before my last upload. This rocky point is one wild place that I normally surf off the south side not take pics from. I had to wait until the spray and swell lulled then remove the coat drapped over my camera and blast away for a short time. Made it pretty interesting (next time take photos here when its calmer Mark!!I) -decided to try a vertorama to add to the fun.

I am pretty sure theres a name for this point so I will dig it out.

Think I have one shot left from the walk down to this spot to complete the reverse uploads :-)

Just realised this is shot number 100 for my Landscape set (called "Esacape To"), never thought i'd get there!

Went back this morning and finally got it right. Is not sunset or sunrise but the sky did play for me. That dark patch in the right of the sky is a bloody big rain front which stopped me playing.

I am really really happy with this verto of the 'East Head' posts. :-)

Browzing my archives again this morning as i haven't had a good length at shooting landsacpe for a while and i came across a unedited verto from Dizzard, near Bude in cornwall.

I just had to play and make it live. :-:)

Happy new year every one. :-)

Hope your all well?

Two panoramas stitched together vertically; harbor area, Portland, Oregon i4s13114,16

Combination of two different shots and i used my Sigma 17-35mm and i love its sharpness.

Hope you will like the magic of folding mirror :D

Haven't uploaded a vertorama for a while. i had this on my usb pen for a while. haven't shot a verto for a few weeks.been busy with some strobist stuff. when i was out scout out locations for strobist work i came across this lonely stairs. looked good in my head, the green and blue and the sky. i thought it was very cool. :-)

The verto is make of 3 sections with 7 images in each section processed in photomatix and stitched and edited in photoshop.

have a good weekend peolpe. hope your all well? :-)

West Coast Vertorama, my filters caused a fair bit of flair for most shots into the sun so this is a more mellow verto.

Interesting that the place I stood was about two inches deep, one foot closer to the rocks it was one and a half feet deep and an amazingly strong curent. Many people have got caught in these rapid flow channels near the rocks on other beaches and been ripped out to sea, Whatipu is one place this can happen for the unsuspecting? Always an interesting place this coast and got to be weary.

Cheers and have a good weekend.

Shots- 2 Single RAWs - Land 2.5 sec f11, sky 1/6th sec f11, overlapped on Horizon and merged for Verto.

This is a Vertorama from the same sunset shoot as the previous two sunset images. I had a lot of fun running around the rocks getting different angles with different lighting. Even having to clean my filter of sea spray a few times.

These are the other two....

Panorama

Sillouette

Well… here’s the photo that I mentioned on my stream yesterday… the one that I was really hoping to capture while paddling my canoe around the Emerald Lake.

Paddling a canoe on a lake as beautiful as Emerald Lake was as close as I could possibly get to a religious experience. I felt completely at peace with Nature and my surroundings… almost like I belonged there! I was totally in my element! As I was drifting around the lake and taking in all the beauty… I noticed these two guys fishing from a canoe on the far side of the lake.

One of the primary reasons for my decision to rent a canoe and paddle around the lake… was that I would get better opportunities to capture my envisioned “canoe-on-the-lake” photograph. I’d already taken a couple shots of the canoes that were on the lake earlier during the day… but the fact that I could only shoot what paddled past me… rather than actively seeking the shot I wanted… meant that I didn’t stand much chance of getting a winning image!

So as soon as I spotted their beautiful wooden canoe… I immediately paddled over and asked these guys if I could take their photo. Sure, they said… no problem… shoot away! So I followed them for a few minutes until I got this shot… heee haaa… I just love it when a plan comes together like this!!

Oh… and just in case any of you were wondering… this is not a pano or a verto… it’s a single-frame image... and it looks much better when viewed large! :)

Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm at 20mm, aperture of f11, with a 1/125th second exposure.

Flickring through my archives and i found this verto i shot in August. I forgot i had this or even had edited it. Well you know me. I now there is alot of these images flying around but i'd thought i share with ya.

Enjoy :-)

This shot was taken during my last trip to Up North so tried some flooded verto with it

Had a bloody good night sleep last night i've had a crappy cold this week. So i awoke got dressed armed me self with me kit and went to Hayling Island sea front. I hate groynes normally but i do like standing above to get a flattering vanishing point element from them.

The past few months there has been sooooooo much long shore drift to this area, that the groynes you see before you 4 months ago where a go 3 to 4 feet high and now there is only the stumps. But i got freaky and wet doing this. Hope you all enjoy this verto. It was really nice to get out shooting again. :-)

Went scouting yesterday at a beach at selsey with me son. I wasn't going to take me kit, i just wanted to check it out. Glad i did cause the clouds broke and the sun became the staring protagonist for a good 30 mins, So i had a play as always with some verto work.

I goofed the camera setting on this multiple shot vertorama (vertical pano). But I liked the distortion, so I played around in Photoshop to get this sort of sketch effect.
