The horizontal version of my previous photo snapped a few seconds before with the DP motors in view. Some more Solstice goodness. From my vantage point high above the railroad on the hills surrounding the canyon the The 130N rolls pass the former section house at Garner as they make their way north to Fairbanks.

Second image inspired by the Japanese folktale of the “Peach Boy.” Created in MidJourney.

Our Home on Natives’ Lands”

This Indigenous version of the Canadian flag was designed by Curtis Wilson. The Maple Leaf section of the Indigenous version of the Canadian flag created by Curtis Wilson, Kwakwaka'wakw artist from Campbell River, BC. (RIP)

His flags can be purchased (in various sizes) through the Campbell River museum (and perhaps at other First Nations Art Galleries and shops). crmuseum.ca/visit/museum-shop/

At the height of his successful career as an artist as well as and teaching youth about their culture, songs, and dances, Wilson died of a heart attack in 2019.

Kwakwaka'wakw Artist Curtis Wilson (Traditional Name: Mulidzas -- BA in First Nations Studies) learned to carve at the carving shed of his grandfather Sam Henderson Sr. under the instruction of many of his uncles and cousins, from whom he adopted many of his techniques and styles. Curtis taught art at schools. One of his life goals was to learn as much about his culture and heritage, to expand his visions in art and also pass it on to future generations. At the height of his successful career, Curtis died tragically from a sudden heart attack in 2019.

As yesterday I didn't have time to process a new photo, I decided to show you the original version of one I posted some days ago.

It is a postcard-like morning scene taken in Rome, very close to Castel Sant'Angelo and looking towards St. Peter.

Enjoy.

Camera: Nikon D700

Gear: Tripod

Technique: 6 exposures HDR processed in Photomatix Pro, Topaz Adjust+Denoise, Viveza 2 and Photoshop CS5

It's moving, it's dynamic, don't you think? You do. Sure you do.

If not, try green.

Carbón directo Gago Genografic. Papel de acuarela Arches/Direct carbon print Gago Genografic Arches watercolor paper. 30x40 cm.

Second version of this carbon print because in the first that I was not very inspired. Now, with less density in the 1st layer (in black), a little brown with green, better control of contrast and developed. This is better, I think.
