I chose the other one because it shows what the rope actually is, with that "Honey I shrunk the kids" feel, but I prefer the angle and framing on this alternative version.

LAC USC has finally finished the new hospital. The outpatient department is now open but I have not yet been inside. The inpatient section is scheduled to open in Fall 2007 February 2008 August 2008 October 17 2008 November 7 2008.
My buddy Wally asked me to take a few shots of the new hospital and old hospital together. Hope they are up to par with his standards.
I'm particularly fond of this one.

Ab 1907 werden mit dem D.F. 6x(21, 24), Marineglas bzw. D.F. 6x30, D.F. 8x(24) bzw. D.F. 95 n/A und dem D.F. 12x(30) militärische Modelle in der neuen Bauart mit angegossener Brücke eingeführt. Vom D.F. 12x sind Versionen mit langen und kurzen Objektivstutzen vom Zweiring-Typ bekannt. Später wird es jedoch auch in der Bauform mit langen Okular- und Objektivstutzen gefertigt. Insgesamt werden etwa 1000 Stück bis 1918 in wenigen Serien hergestellt.
Bei dem vorliegenden Exemplar des D.F. 12x, der militärischen Version des zivilen Telefort (siehe auch www.flickr.com/photos/franksbinoculars/18331617249), handelt es sich um ein sehr seltenes Modell in grüner Ausführung mit Rundkappen, eine bis dato unbekannte Bauform. Vor dem Krieg im Jahre 1914 wurden von Zeiss auch auffällig grüne Varianten der Modelle D.F. 6x(24) und D.F. 8x(24) sowie des Marineglases hergestellt, deren farblicher Zweck bis heute aber unbekannt ist.
Anhand der Seriennummern von Fernglas-Serien in Seegers Buch „Zeiss-Feldstecher“ 1. Auflage 2010 entstammt es einer unbekannten Kleinserie des Jahres 1914.

Starting from 1907 with the D.F. 6x(21, 24), Marineglas and D.F. 6x30, respectively, D.F. 8x(24) and D.F. 95 n/A, respectively, and the D.F. 12x(30) military models in the new design are introduced according to which the folding bars are no longer fixed with screws to the housing but instead the folding bar and housing are manufactured from one single piece. Of the D.F. 12x there are versions known with long and short objective tubes of two-ring type. Later, however, it is also built in the design with long objective and eyepiece tubes. In total there are around 1000 pieces manufactured until 1918 in a few series.
This D.F. 12x example, the military version of the civilian Telefort (see also www.flickr.com/photos/franksbinoculars/18331617249), is about a very scarce model in green design with rounded objective tubes, a construction type unknown to date. Before the war in 1914 also strikingly green variants of the models D.F. 6x(24), D.F. 8x(24) and Marineglas were produced by Zeiss, however, their purpose in terms of color is unknown to date.
By means of serial numbers of binocular series in Seeger’s book "Zeiss-Feldstecher" 1. Auflage 2010 it comes from an unknown small series from the year 1914.

Beck recorded an eight-minute version of David Bowie’s “Sound and Vision” with an 167-piece ensemble Tuesday night that will launch the Lincoln motor company’s online “Hello, Again” series.
Beck performed the track from Bowie’s 1977 album “Low” in the round on a soundstage on the 20th Century Fox lot.
Wearing a fedora and bejeweled black jacket, the artist performed with an acoustic guitar on a circular center stage surrounded by the 300-member audience. Musicians formed the outer ring and they came from all corners: a string orchestra of first-call studio musicians, the Dap-Kings, members of the USC marching band, a CalArts gamelan ensemble, a Peruvian charango group, Fred Martin’s choir from Colorado and L.A.’s Millennium Choir plus an unnamed nine-guitarist group and a Theremin player.
Beck’s father David Campbell conducted the ensemble.
“Hello, Again” is a yearlong, multi-platform program that supports reinterpretations of noteworthy artistic material.
To set the mood, the outside of the soundstage was remodeled as Al’s Record Shop, a hip, old-school store with LPs in the window by Television, Can, Fela Kuti, Alton Ellis and others plus 45s from Nirvana, Unrest, the Germs, Big Boys and other punk acts.
Matt VanDyke, director of Global Lincoln Brand, said in a statement that the program is intended to be a metaphor of Lincoln’s differences in product and client experience. The company had four models of the car on display for the audience plus an exquisitely restored 1940 Zephyr.
Director Chris Milk created the show, which found Beck working with the ensemble on a few other songs — Chris Bell’s dreamy “I am the Cosmos,” plus his own “Paper Tiger,” “Where It’s At” and “Girl,” to which the Dap-Kings were instrumental in providing a Motown flavor.
Famous for his immersive music and fine art projects, Milk, in collaboration with Beck, fully re-imagined the concert concept by creating a 360-degree, interactive experience where the music and the musicians surrounded the audience.
Beck referred to the experience as “an impossible endeavor” that had required a week and a half of preparations. Lincoln says the performance will be converted into an online, high-fidelity event that elevates the viewers’ visual and audio experience.
Future ”Hello, Again” programs will include re-imaginings in design, music, film, architecture and other areas of the arts.

Here is the black version of a card I saw in my dreams. I just can't get the sparkle to show in pics. The white circles have been misted with Perfect Sparkle and the butterfly is glittered up nice. I also love the way these black faucted gems pick up the light but again...no show on the pic. sigh

The ladybug colour was altered but i like the red/green contrast. The photo was taken on a hot summerday inside a greenhouse. The ladybug was crawling around on a tomato plant leaf. I won a local photocompetition with this photo.
Sometimes strong (our normal 3021(L) bracket) is not strong enough. For heavier applications we now introduce a sturdier version of our angle bracket, 3021H(L). Soon in stock.
A short video I designed and produced for Intel Corporation showcasing an exploratory technology. It was created and animated in about 7 weeks using Maya, and composited using Adobe After Effects. I hate that Flickr cuts it off after 45 seconds.
This images was taken in May 2013 and was in its black & white version the very first on black animal portrait I did and posted on FlickR. Since then more than 300 followed. Some of them might be better images, but since this was the first, it will always be special to me personally. It was a great pleasure to come back to this shot and re-colorize it.
