Second go at processing Constellation of Cassiopeia photos. This version was stacked from TIFFs, not RAWs, and flats were used in the process. I tried stretching it a bit more to bring out more faint stars, you can see that amp glow became visible because of that.

I added the arms from one of the X-23s I got as part of the Apocalypse wave. Now the shoulders look a bit odd, but I'm happier with the arms.

Памятник был изготовлен в кратчайшие сроки на Балашихинском литейно-механическом заводе: проработка заказа началась в 1979 году. Титановая скульптура Юрия Гагарина была собрана из 238 литых сегментов, которые соединялись болтами со сваркой. Наибольшие проблемы возникли с изготовлением самого большого сегмента — лица космонавта. Его вес составлял 300 кг, что значительно выше допустимого для одной плавки в вакуумной печи. Памятник Юрию Гагарину стал первым в мире крупногабаритным памятником, изготовленным из титана.

Фигура Гагарина устремлена ввысь. Высокий ребристый постамент является важной частью композиции и символизирует старт космической ракеты. Надпись на памятнике гласит:

«12 апреля 1961 года Советский космический корабль «Восток» с человеком на борту совершил полёт вокруг земного шара. Первый человек, проникший в космос, — гражданин Союза Советских Социалистических Республик Юрий Алексеевич Гагарин»
