My son liked the first LEGO Optimus Prime he wanted another one but as he put it "more simple, no wings and a big sword to chop Megatron".
So here is version 2's end result with a full articulating right arm with sword and shield.

Complete. The narrow OD of the B&M wire was beefed up with layers and layers of shrink tubing in an effort for the wire to be snug in the hole that passes through the fender and to avoid water from coming into the light body. I would have drilled a smaller hole if I had originally planned to pass only a single conductor cable through.

I recently got this frame back after loaning it to a friend who was training for a triathlon, and I am contemplating getting this repainted in proper colors & decals. Strangely, the heat of the summer seems to have solidified what was a horribly soft clear coat, and while the paint isn't high quality or brand-correct, it seems to work. The frame does not feel particularly light, though I haven't weighed it to figure out what that means. But as a complete bike, it rides amazingly well. Truly a joy to ride. It is my largest frame and seems to fit me well, but this bike has to be proof-positive that geometry is just as important as mass. I switched parts on this bike with another and sent the other (a better fit for her) back to my friend for more triathlons. Did I say I really like riding this thing? And I kind of like the green now too....
