There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition.

This was taken in an old shop in Kemptown, Brighton called "Magic". It had some strange and interesting stuff - sadly now gone.

I have, indeed, no abhorrence of danger, except in its absolute effect - in terror. ~Edgar Allan Poe

This is based on the vintage 3D anaglyphs. If you happen to have some old red/cyan 3D glasses around take a moment and view in 3D.👍 I thought it looked rather cool without the glasses too.

Stooky Bill was the name given to the head of a ventriloquist dummy that Scottish television pioneer John Logie Baird used in his 1924 experiments to transmit a televised image between rooms in his laboratory at 22 Frith Street, London. Quoted from Wikipedia.

This fella I won through an e-bay auction in little better condition that you see him. We think he's a Willie Talk dummy from the 30's, which accounts for the deplorable condition of this almost-octogenarian. Whether you find him cute or just creepy, you've got to admit he's got character!

A film still from the 3D (1980s-era) film "Big Dummy, Big Problem".

The bird is having a smoke while it considers this question: what came first, the chicken or the egg? The other smoker is trying to get used to inhaling through his nose.

According to Tim Hollis' book Hi There, Boys and Girls, Stu had his own show in 1961. It was a short-lived kids show on Denver's KBTV Channel 9.

Description from the back - "Stu Scott, Comedy Ventriloquist with his rubber faced partners George and Barney."

It always takes longer to colour a drawing in Adobe Illustrator than in Photoshop, but it's always much more of a zen experience to me...

Found out this is a jerry mahoney ventriloquist dummy.

A Bergdorf Goodman window display inspired by Water for Elephants, taken at night with a flash.

A picture from a scene in a slide show where this dummy, after getting drunk and escaping a confrontation with another dummy, is broke and heads for the street to panhandle.

Reorganized the doll shelf again. Had too many girls out; put some in storage. Need bigger shelf!
