This was taken in an old shop in Kemptown, Brighton called "Magic". It had some strange and interesting stuff - sadly now gone.
This muffler man is named after Mortimer Snerd the ventriloquist dummy, the Snerd muffler men have the body and arm positioning of a classic Muffler Man, but with the head of Mad magazine's Alfred E. Neuman. This picture was taken at the American Giants Museum in Atlanta Illinois.

This fella I won through an e-bay auction in little better condition that you see him. We think he's a Willie Talk dummy from the 30's, which accounts for the deplorable condition of this almost-octogenarian. Whether you find him cute or just creepy, you've got to admit he's got character!

According to Tim Hollis' book Hi There, Boys and Girls, Stu had his own show in 1961. It was a short-lived kids show on Denver's KBTV Channel 9.
