I’ve been wanting to try the Pep Ventosa technique of ‘in the round’ for a few years and have finally been able to do the post processing now that I have a more capable computer. I’m sure most of you are familiar with this artist and technique but for those that aren't… Pep Ventosa, who is originally from Barcelona, Spain created this idea. He's known to play with the perception of reality. This technique is comprised of multiple exposures by moving the camera around a central subject and then combining those exposures as layers in Photoshop. The end result provides an impressionistic looking image.
I used 19 shots for this image and was fun trying something new and relatively easy to post process.
From this morning's drive: I spotted the Songdal River fog and darted down into this field where I walked a 90 degree arc around this tree capturing multiple exposures. These are then treated using my secret blend of herbs and spices and overlaid to produce the final image in Pep Ventosa style!

An assortment of lichens is growing on a rock in the Richardson Mountains in northern Yukon, Canada. Lichens play a vital role in Arctic and subarctic ecosystems, forming a significant portion of the vegetation and serving as a crucial food source for wildlife. Lichens often serve as pioneer species in ecological succession, as the acids they produce help weather the rock and begin soil formation. They can form a crust-like layer pressed against the rock surface, or they can have a leafy appearance like the one in the left lower corner. Lichens can also be colourful, like the Alpine Bloodspot Lichen (Ophioparma ventosa) in the centre with its red fruiting bodies.
