This strange, turkey-like, galliforme bird has a world distribution almost entirely restricted to Venezuela -- and Tobago. (It is not found in neighbouring Trinidad.) On Tobago it is abundant; its loud cackling "coc-eri-co, coc-eri-co!" can be heard everywhere along the forest edges in the early morning. Female answers male at a slightly higher pitch. They hop clumsily from branch to branch, although they are quite capable of flight.

I dedicate this photograph to my good friend Jaume Gasol,
because he is always there when he is needed.
We had finished our photo session because of the rain and we were having a beer on the terrace of a restaurant in front of the sea ... while it rained a lot and the wind wetted my camera.
My friend Jaume told me, why do not you keep the camera, and I answered no! if the flute sounds ... taking it on my tripod and framed towards the boats ... and suddenly I have the boats lit, just enough to make three pictures, with different focal lengths ... this is one of them.

Have a great weekend dear friends !!!
Considered an invasive species outside of the Indian subcontinent, these birds were probably the second most abundant land bird after the doves and Mynas (another introduced) in Tahiti. This bird was in fact being chased by a Myna before this picture was taken.
There is no direct translation for this expression, which refers to the rays flowing like a light shower through the clouds. Pieds-de-vent, "wind feet", are usually a forerunner of strong winds.
