During a BBQ with friends right after the Irricana car show, I shot this classic relic before the owner (Garth) drove it back in the trailer. It's his latest project and what another cool build. This was the first time (maiden voyage) from the shop and to the street with approximately 20 minutes running time on the car. The rod still needed a few fine tweaks.

A velocity stack is a trumpet-shaped device of differing lengths which is fitted to the air entry of an engine's intake system, carburetor or fuel injection. These stacks were installed on, what I think to be, a custom Ford Galaxie at the 2011 Moonlight Memories Car Show in Hatboro, PA.
The Philadelphia Auto Show is scheduled for Jan. 28 to Feb. 05, 2012. And I can hardly wait to see the cars on show as I got myself a Press Pass valid the day before it opens to the public! ~ www.phillyautoshow.com/

Im sure you all remember this car and the shoot I did with it back in August. The other day I was going through my lightroom library and came across this picture that I never thought to edit. After a few tweaks I liked it and finished it up in PS. The car has since been parted out and is currently for sale. But I can say I had the honor and privilege to shoot this gorgeous car.
I totally forgot about this picture. It's a random snapshot that I took when I was putting the quick release on. Not a great pic but you can see some of what was going on in there.
Aeromach USA announced today that they have been lobbied by a number of Honda Valkyrie owners for their "V" Stacks (aesthetic enhancing velocity stacks) and are currently producing "V" Stacks for Valkyrie model years 1997 through 2003.
Aeromach's "V" Stacks are aesthetically pleasing and do not alter the engine dynamics. Stacks mount using three stock phillips head screws, with dealer installation recommended. They are sold in a set of six.
"The Honda Valkyrie is one of those traffic-stopping motorcycles that even non-bikers are simply fascinated by," explained Paul Aiken, Aeromach USA President. "And even though the Valkyrie has been out of production since 2003, enthusiasts still are requesting the "V" Stacks to upgrade their current ride."
Each stack is machined from solid aluminum billet on computer-controlled CNC machines. They then are finished in show-quality chrome. Aeromach's "V" Stacks are made in America by metal craftsmen. "V" Stacks and the entire line of Aeromach products can be seen at www.aeromach.net.

Somewhere between a hot rod and rat rod? 1930 or 1931 Ford 2-door body. Nicely done. Traditional, yet radical. Industrial-look. Chopped & channeled. Pop-off canvas roof insert. 1930 grille shell has bottom painted green to match the headlamp buckets, instead of the factory black paint. No mufflers.

One of the cars on display was this dragster. Those balls on the velocity stacks protect the engine from debris falling into the combustion chambers and are removed when the engine is fired up..
