"When you drink water, remember its source." Chinese proverb.
There is always something fascinating in the waterfalls. Perhaps it is the continuous flow of water and its melodic sound as it falls. That water, source of life, that rushes into the void seeking to follow its way, not caring at all about the fall.
In Taiwan there are several wonderful waterfalls, and this is easily accessible from the capital. This time I planned to photograph some more, but due to the destruction caused by a typhoon months ago, the accesses were still closed.
To create the silky effect on the water I used a 10 stop neutral density filter, a tripod and a long shutter speed.

Hay siempre algo fascinante en las cascadas. Quizás sean el continuo fluir del agua y su melódico sonido al caer. Ese agua, fuente de vida, que se precipita al vacío buscando seguir su camino, sin importarle en absoluto la caída.
En Taiwan hay varias cascadas maravillosas, y ésta es fácilmente accesible desde la capital. Esta vez tenía pensado fotografiar alguna cascada más, pero debido a los destrozos de un tifón meses atrás, los accesos permanecían todavía cerrados.
Para realizar la fotografía con el agua sedosa usé un filtro de densidad neutra de 10 pasos, trípode y una velocidad de exposición de un par de segundos.
A partir de mis 6 años, empecé a ir caminando sola al cole, cuatro veces al día. Tenía que cruzar tres calles. La primera se llamaba Rue Pierre Abélard, de nombre de un filósofo francés (eso lo descubrí más tarde). Al cruzar esa calle, a final del curso escolar, había una bignonia en floración con abejas volteando a su alrededor, atraídas, igual que la niña de entonces, por su color tan vibrante y que todavía me encanta. Me acercaba y me paraba a observar, maravillada, el vuelo de las abejas y de los abejorros.
