Ganz De Ville is the one who, with The Shaidon Effect has founded 02L > OUTSIDE STANDING LEVEL's netlabel SACCHAROSE EXS.
100% mash-up style, tracks created by an assemblage of several songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the music track of another.
He is the one who leaded the featured project "HOPI" along with Jim Morrison photographer and The Doors filmaker Paul Ferrara.
Ganz was born and grew up in Italy, he was trained in classical music from his childhood.
At the age of 13, he started mixing songs using the pause button on his cassette player approaching them as the grooves of old vinyls.
It began with that style: the process which led him to a perfect balance between analog input and digital enviroment, creating mashups that smell his strong mark, one of the most genial form of this speciality and music genre, the so called hybrid-pop.

I’ve been trying to round out my roster of classic monsters for a while with a Phantom, but he’s always been a tough nut to crack. Recently I was playing with some shapes and colors and things fell together for me. I thought, “Yeah, that looks a bit like Lon Chaney” so I chased down the rest of the lurker beneath the Opera of Paris, and here we are.
None of these illustrations are done with any sort of Artificial Intelligence or machine learning. I look at it as sort of like drafting. I cobble together shapes until I am happy with the results. Sometimes I retreat to my sketchbooks in order to figure out a particularly tough shape or view. It always seems easier with a pencil.
Of course pens, pencils and Affinity Designer are not as easy as AI. Yeah it may take me days to complete an illustration, but it’s about the process. I enjoy the work, the happy accidents and the little “aha” moments.

GOGBOT festival - edition STEAMPUNK
18-21 September, Enschede encountered the fifth edition of the GOGBOT festival.
Exciting and innovative multi media art with 150 international artists turned the city into a thrilling environment. Covering 10 locations this year, again with Oude Markt & Grote Kerk as the heart of the festival. And this years new locations as Twentse Welle, Mac Berlijn (with lectures, conference and screenings) and the GOGBOT music program as world premier in Atak @ the brand new Muziekkwartier.
02L's live performing project The Shaidon Effect and Ganz De Ville (DJ and live set) casted a burning session of the nowadays well known THE SPECIAL PLAYER project, from September 18th till 21st, occupying the whole old unhallowed church in Enschede's city center and peripheral locations.
Featuring: air guitar champion TREMELO THEUN
Unità Zero has been placed in the very same location, to boost people's amusement and empathy to the highest level.

his week I went for a highly detailed vector tutorial to follow, again from Vectoruts+ in their Premium Collection. It incorporated the use of gradient meshes and scatter brushes. Both are tools I rarely use and it great to get in more practice. The text down the side was translated via Babble Fish and should read Jczar dot com, but I’ll never really know for sure. I’d love to get this printed out and have it hanging in my office. The great thing about vector art is, even though I built the file small, it can easily be re-sized to fit my needs later.
