.:Hanging in: the home of Nick Jancewicz:.
.:Hanging in: the home of Derek Mitchell:.
I created this for my brother Nick and for Nya's Godfather Derek.
Nick really wanted a Barack Obama poster (although, in his words, a Barack Obama anything), and I knew Derek was a huge fan.
I was going to buy them one, but although I like Shepard Fairey's version (you've seen it, trust me), the eyebrows seemed a bit too dark and the jaw too wide.It bugged me enough to make my own. And I knew if I was going to stand up to Shepard Fairey, I was going to have to a dang good job.
Shepard's influences are similar to my own (graffiti + skate + propaganda), but Shepard's work has a much darker feel.
I began by sketching out the highlights and shadows like I usually do. Often, in order to bring the gender differences to the forefront, I'll draw females and males differently. Males frequently have straighter, angular lines, and females will have smooth curves.
I spent nearly two months on this piece off and on (in between a lot of other projects), and let the my mood guide me a whole lot more. Combining smooth and straight lines had an interesting effect, making a much more painterly feel.
The result is a piece that is much more layered and complicated than my usual work, and the muted tones allow me to pull out variations in his skin that Shepard wasn't able to acheive because of his 4-colour palette.
Part IV of the "Snack Food Suite." The design and colors pop, it would work just as well today as it would have in the 1950s.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
The Sith code.
"The tenets of the Sith are more than just words to be memorized. Learn them, understand them. They will lead you to the true power of the Force; the power of the dark side."
Yeah, I know, Star Wars geekery in full effect right here :)
This kind of started like a joke, but then I decided to finish it. So yeah, here it is. I figured a magazine cover-look would be best. If I decide to print it, it will be a A7 (105mm x 74mm), same size as my last ‘Swear Allegiance’ sticker.
So, what you guys think?
its been a while since i did anything on photoshop so i thought i'd review my photoshop skillz ;)...anyways here is the latest creation!
In this world of lies and untruths, it is refreshing to finally find someone like you.
This armor that I wear is from my past.
I was deceived into it long ago.
Assist me my dear, in removing it.

My early concept for soda packaging art style - looking at incorporating the feeling of early-20th-century patent medicine/elixirs.
If you want to know all about Andy Warhol, just look at the surface of my paintings and films and me, there I am. There's nothing behind it.

Here’s a design I made for friends who had a baby girl recently. They ended up, sort of, using it for a baby card.
It’s a spin-off of a character that I’m working on for myself.
Anyway, congrats again guys :) Almost a month now! WOOT, WOOT! :D

I began this the day my mom's cat, Oedipus, was put to sleep. I'd met her years before, when she arrived at my house in Waltham and wouldn't leave. I couldn't keep her, but my parents took her in. She had a happy life aboard a sailboat.
I vectorized one of my favorite little CCCP canvases.
Will be getting this printed as a nice 5cm x 5cm mini sticker :)
